Looking for opinion, advice of whatever you can help about.
Hi everyone,
I’m 41F and looking for some perspective or advice.
In July of last year, my AMH was 1.6.
In February of this year, I tested it again at a different clinic and got 1.8, which I was told is pretty good for my age.
Last month: I had 13 follicles, but they only retrieved 2 eggs, and only 1 was mature.
This month: I had 5 follicles on the left ovary and 2 on the right (I say "I think" because they always have trouble getting a clear view of my right ovary).
They did the retrieval and got 4 eggs—and all 4 were mature.
On one hand, I’m happy with the improvement. On the other hand, I have really mixed feelings.
My current clinic recommends batching until we get at least 8 eggs to increase the chances of success.
I’m just not sure how to feel. I keep reading posts from people getting huge numbers of eggs, only for 50% to fertilize, and it makes me feel so uncertain about where I stand.
