Hey all,

I built a WearOS game called The Crows Watch – A Pirate Adventure, and I'm stuck on a frustrating problem I could use fresh eyes on.

I recently set up a system that hands out free redemption codes to testers. My analytics show people join the test group but then never install the game — and I can't reproduce it, because it works fine whenever I test it myself.

Testing a WearOS-only app has some genuinely awkward steps, so I suspect people are hitting a wall somewhere in that flow and just giving up without saying anything.

What I'm asking:
Go to https://thecrowswatch.com, try to join the test group, and install the game on your Wear OS watch. Then tell me where it broke down — even "I got to step X and couldn't figure out what to do" is hugely useful.

I've tried to write clear instructions, but since nobody's reported back, I'm flying blind on what the actual blocker is. Screenshots or a quick "here's where I got stuck" would make my week.

Looking for some WearOS Smartwatch users to test joining my test group and installing The Crows Watch - A Pirate Adventure Game.

I have setup a new system which distributes free codes and want to test that.

Currently the reporting i have, shows people join the test group but then not install the game, I would love feedback of where this is going wrong.

Real Money Transactions: In-app purchases for Crowbux (our in-game currency) are live and use real money.

The Full Reset: When Alpha testing ends and the game officially goes live, all player scores, items, and progression systems will be reset.

Crowbux & Refund Policy:

Real-money purchases of Crowbux will not be refunded back to your bank account/Google Play balance.

However, any Crowbux you spent on in-game items during the Alpha will be fully credited back to your in-game account. The items will be removed, but you will have your full Crowbux balance ready to spend again at the official launch!

A pirate sailing / adventure game for Wear OS — you steer your ship using the rotating crown/bezel, fire cannons, weather storms, hunt treasure, and haggle at port. It's got a full leaderboard and everything runs right on your wrist.

The seas are mostly charted, but I need seasoned sailors to find the rocks before we open to all hands.

What's needed:

• Sailing, fighting pirates, and surviving hurricanes on your watch
• Reporting any crashes, bugs, or balance issues you find

Any recommendations on aftermarket straps that wont scratch up my Macbook's palm rest?

I can feel every now and then the metal clasp moving across the surface and think if I get careless it's going to end up scratching it.

Not sure if this bothers anyone else, but the back button long-press on Galaxy Watch is hardcoded to open Samsung Wallet / Samsung Pay — and I never use it.

I built a small Wear OS app called Back Button Assist that intercepts the long-press and opens whatever app you want instead. Google Pay, a fitness app, your watch face, anything.

It also has a smart bypass feature — so if you're in Samsung Health, the long-press still pauses/resumes your workout like normal. Basically it only kicks in where you actually want it.

Setup is about 30 seconds (just enabling an accessibility service on the watch).

Happy to answer any questions about how it works — the accessibility service only listens for the back button key event, no screen reading or data collection.
