like srsly i have a 7800x3d cpu and get around 450 fps with the resolution im playing on (cs2), even if i upgraded to a 9850x3d i would not be able to get to 600 fps so i can run the newest zowie model. at this point its just marketing

hey guys, been thinking about this for a while now, since the main games i play are cs2 and league of legends
obviously after getting a 5090 i had to grab the pg27ucdm 4k 240hz oled monitor, but since im nearly done with all the games i wanted to play (tlou1, detroit, rdr2, gow1-2, assassins creed) im starting to think about getting a modern dual mode monitor that lets me play 1080p with higher refresh rate for cs but also switch to 1440p for story mode games when witcher 4, gta 6 etc come out
i dunno if keeping a now 4000€ 5090 makes any sense when you can either use a 1200€ 5080 with dlss or even buy team red 9070xt for 600€ which hits nearly same fps as the 5080
also i bought my astral 5090 oc for only 2600€, under msrp, and im positive i can probably sell this thing for 3500€ here
but then again im seeing articles talking about gpu prices increasing even more, and we dont know what msrp of the 6090 will be... unless nvidia makes the 6080 perform better than the 5090 anyways cuz of ai upscaling and frame gen (maybe dlss 6 locked only for rtx 60 series?)
