New to me : STI DVC 3-gun

Just did some trading around with a buddy of mine who kinda got me addicted to 2011s , ie the reason I had to buy my first staccato P two years ago. Somehow he got this in a deal and he thought he wanted it till he realized it was setup for LH shooting , which works for me but not for him. It looks like it has a TTI magwell , but I’m not sure if the mag release is factory or not. From the limited research I’ve seen online it seems like a quality model to own. It came with the factory case and info label , plus the manual and tool inside the case. So I’m guessing it lived a sheltered life

Anyone familiar with the 24 month trust exemption ?

Just got these emails this morning about 2 different form 1s I submitted back on April 01. One came back this morning citing that it was missing a signature on the 24 month exemption letter …. The same letter that was used for 6 previous approvals prior to this submission and the same letter that was used for an approval on the second form 1 that was submitted same day same time as the one that was denied ( f1 integral suppressor denied , f1 SBR vz61 approved ).

From the atf website i see where it talks about the letter but no where saying it needs to be signed. So just to reiterate, same trust , same 24 month letter , same rpq etc etc. Only difference is one was for a can and the other for SBR. But yet the SBR got approved. And this 24m unsigned letter was even used for my second MG transfer.

DOD / AFM failure on hemi police Durango. Next best step ?

I have a buddy with a 2021 police Durango with the 5.7 hemi , and it appears he’s been struck with the DOD kiss of death per the shop he took it to , p1417 AFM solenoid code and cylinder 7 misfire code. We swapped out the coil for another factory coil thru dealership connection prior to shop trip , and it was only an occasional lope when idling , but would still run up and down highway fine. No glitter in the oil. So we figured maybe dirty injector or maybe the AFM solenoid was bad. Sent it off to local shop for him since i only have experience with LS and Honda motors.

Per the shop : “ Swapped the displacement on demand solenoids around and the condition is unchanged. Performed a running compression test on cylinder 7 and found the compression far too low @ 20-30 PSI. This indicates either the lifters on that cylinder are bad and/or the camshaft has been damaged. The cylinder head would have to come off to determine anything further. We do not do head work here, so you may have to see a dealer for further evaluation should you decide to fix it. We've got it all back together, if you'd like to collect the vehicle, we close @ 5, thanks. “

Is he better off just doing a DOD delete kit via cam and lifters , and what else should he be concerned about on that motor. Right now he’s going to park it in the driveway and figure out the next best thing to do. Car is worth about $25k so it’s a sticky situation of fix vs sell.
