Is SF an impossible lane opponent for Ember?

I love playing Ember, I've played him so much that I got level 30 on him even though I'm terrible at the hero, but every time I'm against an SF I just feel like I can't do anything to survive the lane and also I can't do anything to recover from the lane since I get bullied out so early.

Here's a game I recently played where I got completely stomped in the lane but miraculously managed to win the game: https://www.opendota.com/matches/8878231457/

Here's another where I also got completely stomped in the lane and couldn't force the comeback: https://www.opendota.com/matches/8878884752

I tried to look at a high-level replay of Sumail playing Ember vs SF but even he gets brought down to like 20% HP with razes and aggressively chased away past his own tower.

What the hell do you even do in this case? Pull the wave and he razes you, stay back to regen and he denies every creep, can't jungle because you're level 3 or some shit with 0 cs. I know it's a losing matchup for Ember, but shouldn't there be some way to minimize the losses?

tip for crusader rank and below: play Death Prophet support

As a certified crusader player myself, I like DP support because:

  • she has good right click and long attack range to bully lane opponents
  • she is a universal hero who benefits a lot from cheap stat items like wand, bracer, etc.
  • she can survive harass and even live through ganks with E
  • she can push towers very quickly with ult
  • she can even 1v1 cores with E and ult
  • she has an AoE silence to stop popular teamfighting ults like WD ult, SF ult, black hole, etc.
  • she can push out waves fast or show in dangerous areas and get out before the enemy team can catch you

Ideally you survive the lane, get a few kills, stack and farm for yourself since low MMR cores don't bother to farm them anyway, which should give you enough gold to build up useful items in the early to mid game.

I personally like to go bracer + urn + arcanes into vessel + greaves and then pipe so that I can semi-frontline even as pos 4 or pos 5 (again, same difference in low ranks).

Give it a try and have fun!

why do people not play safer?

I'm guardian so I'm trash but I try not to die too much. If I have a bad lane and I can't help sidelanes I try to farm safely and pick off where possible. But I've noticed that my teammates just constantly pick crazy unwinnable fights and constantly run at enemies. I could be wrong, but I don't see the enemy team doing that kind of dumb shit in my games when the situation is flipped and my team and I are having a good game. What are some good mid heroes to pick to potentially help turning around those lost teamfights since I can't expect my teammates to stop making the same mistake after 20 times?

Question about training language models

I've linked a John Oliver clip where he talks about a user jailbreaking an application that uses a language model and is clearly aimed for kids. After being jailbroken, the model begins to explain how to build a bomb.

Is this something that's in the training data for the model, or could it generate such a thing purely by association and, say, sufficient knowledge about chemistry and physics and things like that?

People complain about Kez for being able to do pretty much everything, silence, stun, invisibility, etc. People have compared him to Invoker when he came out, but it seems like people think Kez is busted compared to Invoker.

If the roles had been reversed, and Kez had been in DotA from the start with Invoker being released as a new hero, would Invoker get similar hate?
