Simplified Virago Wiring

I have a '83 Virago 750 Cafe project. Its running smoothly but the wiring is a disaster and looking to simplify. Purchased a universal 12v harness from speedmotoco (linked below) but I'm realizing I may be over my head here. Anyone have any pointers or links to videos, etc to help?

Optic recommendations

Xdm elite 9mm full size frame 3.8 inch barrel.
Been doing some research and had originally decided on the Holosun 407c green dot. I’ve recently discovered osight and have circled back to Gideon. What do yall think? Basically want a simple green dot that won’t break the bank

Too much air? Not enough fuel? 87 virago 750

First time taking the bike today out after I got it running on a CV40 single carb. Can’t recall the jet size. It seems to either not get enough gas/there’s a delay in gas delivery or too much air? I’ll give it 1/4 throttle for bit and it goes then solely no acceleration. I let off and give it gas and nothing but then I do that again and it’ll go. Question I have is. Now that it’s on a single carb do I need to remove the filter on the left side (torque sticker) and plug it and also plug the 2 black opening? Good though be causing it?

Talk me out of a Springfield XD-M Elite

Posted a bit ago looking for recommendations on first handgun. None mentioned the XDM but came across a post and went down a rabbit hole. Turners has it on "sale" for $399 currently. Specifically it's the longer grip 3.8 not the compact. Main use would be home defense / take on camp trips to have in trailer. I know full size are better for home defense but for the price it seems like a steal at the very least fora first handgun. Thoughts? Anyone input from owners of one would be appreciated.

TL;DR: $399 for this firearm too good a deal to pass up?

Rec's on 9mm

Hey everyone, looking for some recommendations on a 9mm pistol that will be mainly for home defense purposes. Been looking a lot into the Rost Marten RM1C. Looking to keep the purchase at around that price with right now at Turner's is $469. Thank in advance.
