Anyone here migrate from NetSuite to QBO?

I've been told that we will not be renewing with NetSuite when our current agreement expires. This is primarily due to the increasing cost of NetSuite, but also because of the declining industry that we operate in.

We have some in-house experience with QBO, so this is looking like the most likely path for the accounting portion of the business.

If you've migrated from NetSuite to QBO, did you work with a a 3rd party solution provider or migrate the financials yourself?

Text Area Fields are misaligned on forms

Something has changed recently in the UI. The input area of our Text Area Fields are now displaying below the field label instead of to the right of it. We have two NetSuite accounts, and this new field layout is affecting both accounts.

It is affecting all entry and transaction forms.

Is anyone else affected by this?

Oil for marine 4.3L (GM 262) flat tappet engine after rebuild break-in?

I figured I'd start with asking this here instead of a general boating sub because the engine is basically a standard '87 GM262 4.3L with a flat tappet cam. Officially, it's an OMC Cobra 4.3L.

It's the first engine I've rebuilt. I've come to learn that oil with a higher zinc content is recommended for flat tappet engines. I've been running break in oil and have put about 7 hours on the engine since the rebuild, and the recommended break in period is 10-20 hours.

The original recommended oil for this engine was SAE 30, but I understand oil has changed a lot in the last 40 years. I'm seeing suggestions for 25W-40 marine oil. I'm even reading that some people are running diesel oils like Rotella 15W40, although I'm not sure if those mentioning it are in flat tappet engines.

Add-a-Battery Kit Wiring Diagram Sanity Check

To bring my old boat into modern times, electronically, I'm going to install the Blue Sea Systems Add-A-Battery Kit, and wanted to see if my wiring diagram looks correct? Does anything need to be changed?

3rd party Calendar view for specific Resources?

We have recently started using Resources for our calendar events to book our conference rooms.

I've essentially been asked for a way for department managers to view a Resource's calendar so they can look at availability, as well as the details for scheduled events in case someone's event needs to be bumped to another room.

I see that I can share a Resource's calendar, but it causes a very cluttered calendar. Mainly, because it duplicates all of my events that are booked for that resource/room.

Is there an alternative way to get the calendar view for each resource without having to show and hide other calendar views?

Is this the gas tank vent? And, what is the green egg?

Boat is new to me, a 1987 Thundercraft.

While troubleshooting a possible fuel delivery issue, I went to change out the anti siphon valve and had my first look under the gas tank cover.

The bigger hose with two clamps partially obscured by the filler hose, is this the gas tank vent?

When filling it up with gas over the weekend, I put 15.5 gallons into it, and it was whistling very loudly the entire time it was filling. is that normal, or could there be a venting issue?

Also, before going through the trouble or removing it to inspect, is the green egg looking thing just an inline fuel filter? Google lens was not helpful, and I couldn't find pics of any inline filters that look like that.

Title Transfer Question - North Carolina

I was offered a family boat from out of state and need to get the title for the boat and trailer transferred into my name.

What are we supposed to put for odometer reading on both? There's only an hour gauge on the boat. Do we enter the hours for the boat odometer? What about the trailer?

Regarding the sale price, the boat and trailer were given to me. The boat had a blown engine that I have since rebuilt. If I enter $0 for the sale price, will that affect getting them insured in any way?

OMC Cobra Outdrive installation

https://preview.redd.it/s06r67g0hi1h1.jpg?width=2016&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7b8bceb30d96eca2eeddf250ac6fc39d4535c34a

I have the engine aligned. The alignment tool inserts and spins easily. The picture shows as far as I can get the outdrive before something stops it.

I've tried rotating the u-joints, rocking the outdrive back and forth, raising and lowering the back of the boat, tilting the outdrive.

It seems like there is something inside that it is hitting to stop it from going any further.

Is there a certain point where brute force is needed?

I have a sterndrive that I got with a blown engine that was already out of the boat. I rebuilt the engine and just got it back in the boat, but the holes in the stringers are pretty much stripped. The lag screws are 1/2" x 3". I can't use a larger diameter lag because of the motor mounts, and I would rather not just go with 4" long screws because there would only be 1" of it actually biting into the stringers.

What's the best way to deal with this without having to remove the engine? Would I be safe with putting small wooden dowels in the holes to give the screws something to bite into and fill the space?
