Never thought I’d become a MacBook person (that too pro version)… but here we are.

For years I was a Windows guy. My main setup is still a pretty powerful desktop (Ryzen 9, 32GB RAM,9070XT GPU, multiple terabytes of storage), and I honestly never understood the hype around MacBooks.
Then my company (cisco) gave me a 16-inch MacBook Pro for work.
I expected to use it because I had to.
Instead, I ended up loving it.

The instant wake, incredible battery life, silent performance, trackpad, display, and just how effortless it was to pick up, open the lid, and continue working completely changed my perspective. I found myself reaching for it instead of my desktop for almost everything that didn’t require heavy GPU work.

Unfortunately, I was recently laid off, which meant I had to return the work MacBook. That’s when I realized how much I’d gotten used to it.

After a lot of debating (and probably overthinking 😅), I picked up a 14-inch MacBook Pro M4 Pro (24GB/512GB).

I specifically chose the 14-inch because my life is shifting in a different direction. I’ll be spending a lot more time travelling, leading treks, working remotely, editing photos and videos on the go, writing, and hopefully DJing more. Portability, battery life, and performance mattered much more to me than having the biggest screen.

My desktop isn’t going anywhere, it’s still my powerhouse at home. This MacBook is the machine I’ll actually carry with me.
Funny how quickly your opinion can change once you actually live with a device instead of judging it from the outside.

Looking forward to creating a lot on this machine over the next few years. Hopefully the first of many adventures with it.

Took my Jimny to Tehri Dam!

Finally took the Jimny to Tehri Dam, Kanatal and Rishikesh and this thing absolutely belongs in the mountains.

did a mix of highway cruising, steep climbs, rough patches, and dusty roads (got a bit worried about the snorkel + DIA Setup I have, but its all good). The short wheelbase and light weight make it ridiculously fun on hill roads and it feels capable enough to go exploring without stressing too much.

The best part wasn’t even the driving though, it was just sitting there near the dam, mountains in the background, completely disconnected from city noise for a while.

People joke about the Jimny being tiny until they see where it can comfortably take you.
