Dollar tree account review

I don't like it.

The main complaint from others is the parking situation but tbh I kinda look at it as a puzzle to solve so I enjoy it. I dont mind getting out 100 times to get and out and look. Im not even being sarcastic. I've enjoyed that challenge.

Here comes the bad. The recruiter said this account people were averaging $1900 a week and some people make even more. I figured if it was at least $1500 then it would definitely be worth it. But its not looking like that at all.

The warehouse where you get the loads is perpetually behind and that affects your clock and can make you late. A lot of the stores won't take you past a certain point and they dont have enough staff to help you unload so it takes forever. You get paid $215 to unload the entire 53 foot trailer which is insulting considering how physically demanding it is. Its supposed to take 2 hours supposedly per stop but when they dont have enough people you can double or triple that.

If anybody is on this account and has any advice. Maybe it will take me a few weeks to get the hang of it but I feel pretty frustrated and I would say scammed and bamboozled by the recruiter at Warn-her!

My manager said I can make 1200-1300 but relative to the BS you put up with I think I'd rather just do OTR.

I did not heed the warnings (Dollar Tree)

They had me training on dollar general and tbh it was way easier because of the carts and the platform that raises and lowers.

The parking is very similar each time at Dollar General but not at the Dollar Tree. It’s a puzzle each time.

But the bad part is the unloading. Unloading 5000 boxes by yourself for only a couple hundred bucks between 3 stops.

Does it get easier guys?

I don’t think I’m built for this and I’m pretty explosive and strong. I guess not endurance though.

Why do some truckers stay their whole career at mega carriers?

I’ve seen lots of truckers stay their whole careers at a Mega?

My current trainer said he makes $110k so I can see why he is content but I’m guessing he’s still leaving some money on the table.

My first trainer was making $130k as a trainer company truck not O/O. I guess I might’ve answered my own question but still… I’m assuming they are leaving a bit on the table with all the opportunities out there

With training is it up to the trainers discretion on when to release you?

I was hired on at a mega for advanced (not experienced but not new either).

I asked the guy running orientation how long training would be and he said 5 days for advanced.

My trainer didn’t even know I was advanced placement so he said 3 weeks and then I told he froze for a few seconds and said 2 weeks.

I know it’s only one more week but at the same time when I asked him for feedback he just said to use the engine brake less.

Anyway, I know 2 weeks isn’t that long but the trainer doesn’t teach much at all and just watches shows on Netflix most of the time.

And it just feels like I’m his helper, doing 100% of the driving and helping him unload. Not really keen on the situation nor the discrepancy between what I was told at orientation

Give them hell!

I hope this series goes to 7.

Even if the Spurs lose in 7.

Let's wear them down for the Knicks.

Spurs in 7 or Knicks win it all are the only two outcomes that would save the NBA.

Anything but another OKC championship.

A clash of cultures (New Mexico x Japan)

Found it on clearance for $13 at Walmart.

Really enjoying this one. Casio A178. Has a very early 2000s and earlier than that Japan feel. I picked up an A171 also which is a newer release but personally I prefer this one as it has more of an authentic digital 80s-90s Tokyo vibe. I know the other model is much more trendy.

Haven't had luck at any Walmarts in decent sized cities -- only in small towns so be sure to check the watch section if you're passing by a Walmart in a smaller town.

Traveler strikes gold again in New Mexico

Unfortunately my bank was blocking the transaction so I was only able to check out the two digital watches next to the drink. Hopefully will go back before the week ends to pick up the ones I left behind.

The two digital watches were on clearance at $13 each. Same for the bottom two analog watches. And the upper right analog watches with no numbers on the dial $19 iirc

How much would I get at Apple if I trade in a MacBook Pro M1?

I just scored a M1 MacBook Pro for $280 locally.

Forgot to check the battery when I bought it but still has 86% capacity.

The laptop is great but I have $950 in Apple Store Gift cards and curious how much I might get from Apple if I trade it in. If I can get like $450 or more from Apple it might be worth it and then I can just get the newest MacBook M5 Pro.

That was my original goal to save up for the M5 MBP but I got antsy and got tired of my old and slow Thinkpad from 2018.

What do you guys think?

I might take it to Apple just to see what they offer.

But I am pretty happy and don'k know what to do with the $950 in Apple Gift Cards.

Also I bought an iPhone 17 for $400 locally so I am fine for now with this phone (luckily I haven't been burnt by anybody. The IMEI was clean and the guy I got the laptop from seemed trustworthy and genuine),

Recently got my cdl and things haven't been going according to plan.

At the first mega I got cut because I was struggling with the Backing and didn't u derstand the way they were teaching (or rather telling me what to do). I ended up using a simulator on the phone and had a much better understanding of the geometry, angles, and so on and so forth.

Anyway I came to another mega and all the training is done otr and only needed like two more full days to complete the training but the loads we've been doing have had really weird hours so I haven't been getting sleep and it started to affect my driving -- I told my trainer and they kicked me out of the truck. Now I dont k ow if imma be fired or what but getting 4 hours of sleep In a hot as fuck truck that the trainer refuses to idle for AC and then the rest of the sleep with a bumpy ass Freightliner.

Idk what to do. I feel like it would've been different when OTR since youre not stuck on the trainer's agenda and you dictate your schedule and routine a bit more. Or maybe just try something like food service idk

Currently I have a iPhone 16e although I prefer Android.

Also if anybody has any better suggestions I am open to it. I think these massive batteries and charging speeds are so amazing compared to what Apple or Samsung offer. However, if there is something with similarly great specs but also the camera is impressive then that is for sure something I would think about. OnePlus 15 itself is a let down camera wise and I guess Poco is likely worse. So if there is something better out there lmk. My ideal price is around $500 or below tbh.

OnePlus 15 I can get new for $650 this is amazing tbh considering it was $1000 a few months ago or whenever the hell it released.

Poco x8 Pro Max (not sure how this compares in performance relative to the OP 15 but the two options are 256GB for $440 or 512 GB for $480 -- either way I know the cameras are pretty mid)

Poco x8 Pro I feel is a step down performance wise but I guess I could save money now and pay $330 for this and use for a couple years.

Or could just keep the iPhone 16e but I would need to keep paying the monthly plan for $40 which is $480 a year whereas if I get one of these other phones like Poco or OnePlus unlocked I can stay on my family plan and not have a phone bill.
