A new civil complaint filed in Palm Beach County, Florida, names Donald J. Trump as a defendant and contains serious allegations involving events the plaintiff says occurred in 1997.

Then we look at perhaps the most important idea of all: **the power of the “big lie” and repetition**—and Trump’s continuing claims about the 2020 presidential election.
