Finding product market fit for my idea ............

This Friday, I tested our product-market fit for our idea by speaking directly with a major local bank.
Thanks to a contact, I met the Deputy Manager at the bank’s main district office and asked about their marketing and advertising approach. He shared that the bank has an advertising budget of several lakhs and typically uses billboards for campaigns.
I explained the concept, use cases, and the value it delivers: targeted, memorable placements that complement traditional outdoor advertising.
The response was encouraging. They liked the idea and asked whether we have a GST number, since, as a government bank, they can only transact with registered vendors. We don’t yet have GST or formal incorporation, so we weren’t able to proceed immediately. While that was disappointing, the conversation was validating: a potential customer with a real advertising budget showed genuine interest.
Takeaway: the market is receptive. Excited to move forward

Real-World Validation: Introducing Zspot8 to a Major Bank🔥💯

This Friday, I tested our product-market fit for Zspot by speaking directly with a major local bank.
Thanks to a contact, I met the Deputy Manager at the bank’s main district office and asked about their marketing and advertising approach. He shared that the bank has an advertising budget of several lakhs and typically uses billboards for campaigns.
I introduced Zspot — our platform that helps brands and institutions easily find and hire attractive spots on houses and buildings for long-lasting, high-visibility campaigns. I explained the concept, use cases, and the value it delivers: targeted, memorable placements that complement traditional outdoor advertising.

Building Zspot : Money Changes Everything, Then People Start Listening
I’ve spoken with 90+ people so far while researching Zspot. One thing surprised me: when I explain the idea — that people can rent their exterior spaces and walls to brands for advertising — most are indifferent or confused. But the moment I mention they can earn money from it, their whole attitude changes.
Suddenly they ask practical questions: Where is the spot? How much can we earn? Which brands will advertise? Will payments be monthly?
This taught me an important lesson: if your product delivers clear financial benefits, people pay attention — and they’ll start giving you useful ideas. When you solve real problems that help people earn, they become engaged partners in building the solution.

Progress of Zspot 🚀💯
I’m building Zspot in India
📈I wanted to share progress, get feedback, and connect with anyone who’s tried or might be interested in something similar.📈
What we do
\- Connect brands with available exterior ad space (homes, apartment blocks, commercial buildings).
\- Help property owners earn passive income by renting out visible walls and facades.
So far :-
\- I’ve spoken to 70–80 potential users (homeowners and small building managers). Most were open and many said they’d be ready to list their space once the process and safety/permissions are clear.
\- I’ve reached out to 15–20 real-estate builders and property managers to pitch the idea. Only 2 showed real interest and listened — the rest seemed hesitant or busy.
What I’m seeing:-
\- Homeowners and small building owners are often open to the idea when it’s explained simply and the earning potential is shown.
\- Larger builders and agencies are more skeptical. They tend to rely on traditional marketing channels and seem to distrust newer, unproven models for ad inventory on private property.
\- The main barriers are trust, concerns about aesthetics and maintenance, and uncertainty about legal/permission requirements.
Our goals :-
\- Convince brands that exterior ad space on local properties can build stronger community impressions and improve brand recall and sales.
\- Build trust with property owners and brands through transparent contracts, clear installation processes, and proof of performance (photos, foot-traffic estimates, campaign reports).
\- Scale listings so brands have reliable, high-quality inventory across neighborhoods and cities.

I got good feedback on our idea Zspot from a client📈🎉
I wasn’t sure about the idea at first, so I got feedback from real users and brands. I started interviewing people and creating content. The results were great — over 90% of users were happy to rent their exterior spaces to brands.
Next, I contacted a real estate person who had some projects to see if he would be willing to use Zspot8. He was skeptical at first, but he listened and gave positive feedback.
That experience helped me understand what brands really want. They’re not just looking for advertising — they want impressions on their ideal clients.

🔥Why customer feedback is important ? Its for my startup Zspot
I spoke with a customer yesterday about Zspot and asked if he would be willing to rent exterior wall space on his home to brands for marketing. He said yes — and shared two positive reasons:
- Extra income: If a family has a low household income, renting wall space can provide useful additional cash to help with everyday needs.
- Useful local advertising: Many exterior spaces go unused. Allowing brands to advertise there creates word-of-mouth publicity for both Zspot and the brands, and people in the community will want to learn more.
His feedback highlights the value of strong community ties and a new marketing approach that involves local people — building trust while creating opportunities.
