[Suggestion] A free, offline short customs demo to give potential players a taste of Tarkov.
It's no secret that being a new PMC is really daunting with all the mechanics that the game throws at you from the moment you load into your first raid. While there is an in game ground zero tutorial raid, you only get that if you already have the game.
I think that having a short PVE demo on steam would be a really good way to onboard new players. Let them run around on customs and kill 10 or so scavs and then extract. Play a little intro cutscene like the one in the full game, have them choose BEAR or USEC and give them a corresponding kit and let them run wild on customs. Hell, you can even have a twist ending where right before you extract a scav rifle butts you and takes you to Reshala who domes you with his golden TT.
The dev time for this should be negligible as all of the assets are already in the game. I have more than a few friends who were turned off by the game because it looks complex and is pricey even when it goes on sale. I really think this idea has potential but let me know if I missed something.
Pros: The possibility of more timmies running around to feed all your SBiH kills.
Cons: A cheat will probably find a way to get into your account from the demo or something, then we'll wait 3 months for BSG to patch it.
Looking to upgrade my motherboard and CPU as well as swapping some drives around, wanted to ask a few questions.
My budget is around 700 Euros, I'm looking to improve performance in games like cyberpunk, elden ring and arc raiders, tarkov and the new assassins creed.
These are my current specs:
32GB ddr4
RTX 3070
Intel i5- 12400f
motherboard - pro b660m ddr4.
region:croatia
in addition to the budget id also sell the ram, processor and the 32 gigs of ram as well as an old gpu, which would add around 400 euros or so to the total. (just a rough estimate to make it easier)
I was looking at processors and the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D seems really good, i need advice on what motherboard to get with it though.
besides that i was thinking of swapping my 3 SSDs ( 1tb, 500gb, 128gb) and 1 hdd (500gb) for a 2 TB nvme and a 4tb hard drive, just wanted to see if thats a good idea.
things to note -
ive got a liquid cpu cooler and a new case recently so im good with temps.
sorry if i left anything out i tried following the guides i got for posting here.
tl;dr whats a good processor and a motherboard to go along witha 3070? also should i swap to a nvme and hdd
A (hopefully) not overpowered idea I had that would make the heart grind a bit easier
I really couldn't think of anything too wrong with this besides ironman catering but if I missed something please let me know.
