Lake Mungo took me off guard

I'd heard about this movie and that, for some, it was horrifying, and I got curious. I started watching scenes from it, including the lake scene, and while the scenes didn't really do much without context, it still looked pretty interesting. So I started watching it.

For most of the movie, there had been some unsettling scenes for sure, but nothing that made me think "man, no wonder people say this is super scary." Still a fun watch.

Then I made it to the lake scene, and for some reason, that shit shook me to the core. That was one of the most unsettling moments of movie watching that I can ever remember. Instant adrenaline spike. I even knew what was coming! I don't know how the movie managed to do that but it was remarkable.

Areas with young families that are happy, safe, even slightly walkable, under $2.2k/mo?

Hey all, I've been doing a lot of research into this area and want it to be where my family plants roots. I'm having some trouble finding areas that seem fit for a family with young kids that isn't also pretty expensive. I don't think I mind if it's a drive from stuff to do, but I would like to live somewhere where my wife and kids can safely and easily walk to a good park, the grocery store, or both. Somewhere with a semblance of community I guess is what I mean.

Looking for at least 3bd 1.5br, ideally a SFH. Any suggestions you can throw out off the top of your head are welcome, just need some names of neighborhoods to start looking at. I do not want to consider anywhere near downtown, primarily interested in areas east of. Thanks.

How did Ammon and Matt get BAM from their dad? They were evicted from the Legally Mine office by their dad, but were not fired and were instead - forcefully and legally - assigned to BAM

It cannot be overstated how ruthless Ammon and Josh really are

If you were like me and took a look at Ammon, you really wouldn't think he was that threatening. Kind of pudgy, softer voice, kind of awkward, like the very first time I watched Ben's first video I thought he was just kind of swept up in this whole thing and would break, even if he was complicit.

But no, this is not who Ammon is. Look up the lawsuit by David Gibb for what Ammon did to steal his business, called Afraid of Lawsuits. Gibb allowed Ammon to communicate with their CC merchant, and when Ammon suddenly got a change of ownership form signed and sealed to take the company over, he presented that form to the Utah Division of Corporations and used them to remove Gibb from the roster as principal owner. He then went to the CC merchant, showed them all of this, and got the cash flow for the business routed into a different account that he controlled, and Gibb was no longer able to communicate with the merchant anymore. The lawsuit is over the fact that Gibb never gave Ammon the business.

Then there is Josh, who is doing some really shady shit as executive VP of a law firm that seems to function in a similar capacity to Legally Mine, or at least in a similar capacity as the legal counterpart of Legally Mine that sets up shell corporations for medical professionals and their businesses (Legally Mine has a YouTube account that has some videos of them doing seminars for medical professionals trying to get them to buy their "asset management" packages). Watch this to see what I mean.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about then I highly recommend watching the three pertinent BJC Live live streams on YouTube, it's all there. There was a RICO lawsuit for a real estate racket that Legally Mine was a central part of (called Buying Summit), and it looks like Josh is likely doing the exact same shit at Fortune Law today, only it's for dentists and not aspiring rental agents.

These people are not innocent or even negligent, they know fully well what they are doing and they have real teeth in the game. Don't fall for the PR attempts to minimize their culpability!

"Asset Protection" strategies of LM Oldco, formerly Legally Mine, formerly Veil

I've been watching some of BJC Live's videos and livestreams and they are awesome. She is uncovering some serious shit about the corporate lives of the McNeff family, all of which is publicly available information. If you haven't watched her videos you absolutely should, and tune into her livestreams. She will be live on Friday.

She is creating a huge web of names, entities, LLCs etc and is digging wherever she can to get more context on these guys and how shady they seem to be. The purpose of this post is to condense, IN MY PERSONAL AND FRANKLY UNEDUCATED OPINION, the asset protection methods of companies like Legally Mine.

As I said in an earlier post, she walked through a lawsuit against a company called Veil Corporate, which was a previous moniker of Legally Mine, that partnered with Guardian Law to create shell LLCs for suckers seminar attendees of an event called Buying Summit that were interested in real estate rentals. This is all covered in the RICO lawsuit in the video (timestamped here) linked in my earlier post.

It seems the racket was that Veil LLC, along with many other people/LLCs collaborating at Buying Summit, sent ads out to prospective real estate agents looking for rental properties that advertised getting high value homes for pennies on the dollar before the homes hit the market, and that going to a seminar would help these future agents snag these deals, while at the same time offering ASSET PROTECTION services for these agents. One plaintiff paid $40k to attend. At the seminars, Veil LLC would set up shell LLCs in different states for their clients through top dollar packages in the name of this asset protection. There were also financial entities, i.e. American Cash LLC among others, that would "INDUCE" the attendees to take out bridge loans (seemingly similar to down payments) with them for these homes. And on top of that, the LLCs at Buying Summit would suggest the future agents use their IRA MONEY TO BUY THE HOMES.

Read that again! They too were STEALING FROM OLD PEOPLE. You cannot make this up!

It turns out these homes were shit (true values given as example were $25k to $30k) and were being sold sight unseen in states where the buyer did not live, at values that were well above their true worth, having been promised as being "vetted and rented and ready to go." Hence the lawsuit, at least part of it. The parties listed for defense expand far beyond Veil and American Cash but Veil is very much a name brought up multiple times in the suit.

Anyways, that is a hell of a ride and I suggest watching that in full. It's literally Legally Mine getting sued for operating a racket, and the case is ongoing but more in a sense of resolving a question on who should be adjudicating it or something. But the point of this post is to highlight this "asset protection" method.

Just a minute or so before the introduction to the RICO case, BJC highlights that Legally Mine is now owned by Centra Solutions, itself a company. If you look at the document history for this Legally Mine, as presented in the video, there is no mention of Ammon, Matt, or their dad anywhere. This is because the ORIGINAL Legally Mine LLC changed their name to LM Oldco. That is their current name... can you guess when they changed their name?

Can you? Well it turns out, it was changed THE DAY BEN SCHNEIDER RELEASED HIS FIRST VIDEO.

To me and others, it is obvious that this name change is strategic so that anyone who is curious will be able to find absolutely nothing on Legally Mine, and may even result in the wrong company being sued. The current Legally Mine, in my opinion, exists as nothing more than a specter to confuse anyone looking into this scandal.

I suspect that Ammon is using this same strategy with BAM. Why do you think he was so emboldened to say the Lego theft never happened? With all these shell LLCs he could switch around the LLC records on file to the point that the trail is obfuscated and so that targeting the right company becomes extremely difficult. Along with this, it allows certain assets to be assigned to individual LLCs so that the "corporate veil" cannot be easily pierced by offended parties. If you watch the whole RICO video past the Afraid of Lawsuits bit, the whole thing shows how even Josh Johnson is well versed in this asset protection method, and even made a presentation on it for Fortune Law where he is/was some big shot. Yeah, he's apparently some kind of lawyer? Not confirmed.

A connection between Legally Mine and BAM hasn't been made except for Ammon and Matt's ownership of both, and also that Legally Mine once had a million dollar's worth of shares of BAM. Ammon and Matt via Legally Mine had attempted to buy millions of dollars more of stock in BAM before the dad smacked the transaction down, which is part of the drama between father and sons at Legally Mine and is covered in this video by BJC. So concretely saying here that BAM is operating in a similar fashion is complete and total speculation on my end.

Anyways, I wanted to condense this aspect of the scandal because it's both pretty confusing and extremely interesting, and highlights a great big picture look into the shit being flung around.

I may have gotten something wrong here, for which I'm sorry and welcome any corrections.

------------------------

Actually... does anyone else remember that Ben was having a hard time with records for the Salem store in the first video? Specifically here. I seem to remember another time that he said the store was difficult to find because it had been listed as a separate area of the building or something, right? Maybe these are worth looking into, to see if the same renaming scheme has been applied to BAM.

Got this for 200! I think it was a good deal right?

22" Oriental Classic China. I've wanted one of these for a while and finally found one that wasn't stupid expensive. The seller wasn't a drummer and didn't believe this is a pretty rare item. It's in great condition except for some homemade rivet holes.

I thought these holes were factory but were not, and one of the holes had the drill bit dance around a little, which is pictured. I was going to try and file it down to round the edge out and get rid of the weak part, so here's hoping it'll save this thing from cracks.

Jiffy is ignoring me?

Hey all, I bought some District t-shirts for my wife about two weeks ago off of Jiffy.com and there is no sign of them at all - tracking isn't updating, and I sent two forms to them about the order. The first form triggered an automatic response that sent a partial refund for the order being late, but no actual person responded. I then sent another form from a different part of the site some days later and still nothing. Interestingly, trying to send another form as the first one shows me that there is no order with my number in their system, but I don't know if this is to prevent spamming or something.

It was only three shirts but I was excited to give them to my wife. I don't do screen printing or anything like that, and I only went to Jiffy because people here tend to recommend them wholeheartedly. Anyone know what might be going on with them? Has anyone had a bad experience with them recently? Thanks.
