Steering wheel pics? Steering wheel pics? We don't need no stinking steering wheel pics.

I have not been out on a decent bike ride in years, and definitely not on my good Cannondale Synapse road bike. But I was cleaning and organizing the bike cabinet, and that led me to checking the bikes themselves, and the next thing you know I'm wearing the spandex and taking my Expedition Scout Solar out in the sun to charge it up.

Look out, Omega

>But the newest mystery dial from Timex is a bit more ambitious, if also a bit less practical. Rather than a single seconds hand, the Peanuts x Timex Marlin Automatic Space features a trio of Peanuts characters as astronauts printed on a transparent disc.

Timex x Hogwarts all Weekender

We've had some pictures of the skeletonized mechanical, but I had no idea that Timex went all in on this Harry Potter idea. Apparently there are four Weekenders, and the Indiglo lets you know which house the hat sorted you into.

Although the Hogwarts tank watch actually does look kind of neat.

Hands-On: The Giorgio Galli S2Ti, When Timex Moves Upmarket

>The titanium case continues the Giorgio Galli trend of openworked sides, and this one includes forged carbon within the midcase (the S2 had a similar titanium midcase). The carbon features colour irregularities that are very popular in the upscale motorcycle and automotive market, and adds a subtle detail that an all-black centre would miss. Case production is done via metal injection over traditional CNC machining, known as the Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) process or specifically TiMIM for this titanium model. It allows for complex and intricate shapes (openworked sides and lugs, for example) that would be difficult and expensive with milling.

Mods are out to lunch. Quick, post your steering wheel pics!

My John Deere is a snowblower in the winter, and a lawn mower in the summer. My Expedition Scout Solar works in either season.

Last month I bought the 80v lawn edger. Not wanting to have just one battery or tool, I figured that I would buy the 80v, 18" chainsaw. Unfortunately, the combo deal has been unavailable. Looking on the Lowes site, it does not look like there are many 80v tools, or very many 8pv battery options.

Is the 80v being phased out? I don't need a heavy duty chainsaw, but it would have been helpful. Should I look at the 48v instead? I don't want to buy something that's going to be unavailable in a couple of years.

I have a mix of Citizen and Timex solar watches, and I keep them on a little tree where they get ambient room light. Once every couple of months when the calendar changes (30 vs 31 days) I reset the dates, and put the tree on a windowsill or shelf in more direct sun for the day.

I realize that a lot of guys just toss their watches in a dark drawer, and for some the solar capacitor runs down. This made me wonder about the longevity of the watches. Am I better off just letting the watches run down (three to six months for a compete discharge) and then charging them back up as needed? Or is the constant daylight fine?

And... by letting them stay charged, is this wearing out the mechanical part of the movement prematurely? After all, that's what they say about winders for automatic movements.

Image for illustrative purposes.
