Does this appear to be real or fake?

Hi all,

I am hoping to see what you all thought of this was real or fake. Bought off Poshmark for $340.
To me it looks real but I don’t know anything about purses as I bought this for my wife as a birthday gift because she saw one and loved it.

I would like to see what others thought before I accept. I can buy a fake one for $100-$150 so would rather spend that if I’m buying a fake one lol.

Not looking for a 100% authenticity, just opinions as I know nothing.

7.3 powerstroke buzz test failure

Hi all,
I’m confused at this point and need some advice.

I’ve been chasing a p1273/p1293 and cylinder contribution issues for a while. I have replaced the idm and engine wiring harness, the UVCH is only 2-3 months old. I also swapped injectors 3 & 5 and the buzz failure stayed on 5.

After replacing the engine wiring harness, the cylinder contribution issues are gone and the truck seems to run perfectly but I still have the p1275 and p1293. Could this be false codes? They only show up when I run a buzz test and they aren’t standing codes.

What else should I test or should I just drive the truck as is?

7.3 powerstroke injector wiring issues

Hi all, I’m about at my end with this truck and need some help before sending it to the shop.

I am having p1275 and p1293 codes when running a buzz test, it rough idles and has random intermittent cylinder contribution issues, it also has injector tick at high rpm mostly in the hotter tunes.

The passenger UVCH and injector harness is basically new, I checked them and they still look good. I swapped injectors 3 & 5 but the issue stayed at #5.
I tried plugging in a brand new idm but that also didn’t change anything. I checked ohm from uvch plug to 42 pin and 42 pin to idm plug and both of those were 0 ohm.

I did notice the CPS wire is frayed and exposed for about an inch on the idm side of the 42 pin connector right outside of the connector, could this be causing all the issues?
Google AI says that’s 100% the issue and will fix it all but ChatGPT says no. I know AI isn’t good to take advice from but it helps me think through stuff but now I’m lost.

Napa IDM any good?

I believe I need a new idm for my 2000 7.3 powerstroke and wanted to get one today to test and get the truck running. The only place local that has one is Napa, it’s the Napa reman one.
Has anyone used a Napa Reman IDM? What luck did you have. I know to never run Napa sensors but I won’t run any sensors besides motorcraft.

Looking for a specific 2018 Ram

Hi all!

I’ve been on the hunt for a 2018 ram 2500 limited tungsten mega cab for a little while now.
I was wondering if there’s any type of websites/ services that are good for sourcing a truck? Or even if you all know of one available lol. Can’t be deleted that’s the main thing.

Full manual valve body 7.3 powerstroke?

I’ve been looking at putting an upgraded valve body in my 2000 7.3 powerstroke and have always really liked the idea of a FMVB. I’ve looked online and haven’t really found a kit, is this something that’s made?

Help needed, fpr threads broke off in fuel line

I know, dumb mistake. Time to fix it now though.

The treads on the FPR broke off in the fuel line fitting and I wanted to see if any one else has dealt with this and how to get it out.

Custom fuel bowl delete?

2000 7.3 powerstroke
I’m in the process of rebuilding my fuel bowl with all new seals and just got it pulled out.
I realized how nice it is to have all this room with the fuel bowl out and am thinking about doing a fuel bowl delete.

I don’t really want to pay $600+ for the driven diesel kit and was wondering if anyone has built a custom fuel bowl delete kit, it doesn’t seem too difficult since it’s an inlet, 2 lines to the injectors and a regulated return line.
I have a xdm fuel filter I’ll throw in line to replace the fuel bowl filter until I upgrade the lift pump to an air dog as well.

(It’s dirty I know, I took that photo as soon as the bowl came out, it’ll be cleaned before going back together)

7.3 powerstroke fueling issues

Hi all,

I’m having some fueling issues. It takes about 2-3 minutes to get to 55-60psi of pressure once the truck starts and will idle there but under load it almost simultaneously looses pressure to almost 0psi. Once that happens, the truck will still run and drive pretty much fine but it lopes while catching up on fuel.

ICP and IPR % are both pretty healthy, icp sometimes has dips down to about 440 at idle but usually axles about 500 and 2700 at WOT. IPR idles around 10% and is 37% at WOT.

I’ve already replaced:

- tank showerhead and screens

- oem rail mounted fuel lift pump

- FPR

- fuel bowl filter

- fuel lines right before and after connecting to lift pump

- icp sensor

Also I have noticed ever since I’ve been trying to fix this issue a slight diesel leak dripping from the flywheel cover plate after the truck was running.

When I ran some scanner tests today the injector buzz test passed no issue but I did a cylinder contribution test and cylinder 6 failed with a p0278 code.

Before these issues, I had others (look at my previous post if that helps) but those are gone with some fixes
ebpv delete plug, turbo rebuild, new bellowed up pipes, and passenger side injector harness and valve cover gasket.

Short of replacing the whole fuel system, what should I be looking at? If I can’t figure out the issue here soon I’ll be taking it to the shop, at this point I feel as if I’ve spent so much money replacing things that weren’t even the issue.

I have an xdp cat fuel filter adaptor I can throw after the lift pump but I don’t have a fuel bowl delete kit right now.

Used parts buy/sell websites

I was wondering if there are any websites besides Facebook marketplace that you can buy and sell old parts.
I know there used to be subreddits and now are “websites” that you can buy and sell old gun parts and I was just curious if there was anything like that for truck parts.

2000 f250 7.3l power stroke issues

I recently picked up a 2000 f250 7.3l powerstroke with 340k miles but am now having some issues.
First off, CA resident so I have to pass smog. It had an edge tuner/monitor I took out as that’s an automatic smog fail.

First issue, the check engine light is on but no codes are being displayed if I plug in a scanner and the scanners can’t tell what vehicle it is. Before I unplugged the edge it worked just fine, showed codes and all. I had a P1000, P0475, P0603, and P1316.

The truck also has a “misfire” according to the smog shop. It is super sluggish and doesn’t want to go, can’t get out of its own way, it only builds about 11lbs of boost at 3k rpm and then hard shifts.
Last night it started having crank/no start issues but if I cycled the key it would start just fine and run like it normally does(slow lol)

From my research I’m thinking these steps:

  1. Change the Camshaft position sensor
  2. Disassemble the turbo piping/up-pipes, check turbo is ok, clean and reinstall tight
  3. Remove the dbp sensor and tube and clean (or replace?)
  4. Check UVC harness and pcm connections.

Does this seem like the right plan or should I be doing something else? Has anyone had these issues?

Having the scanners not read any codes is making this a bit more complicated.
