It’s okay to be vegetarian/vegan and have a few exceptions

I think that the reason that many people who consider vegetarianism/veganism don’t commit to that lifestyle is because others shame them for not being the perfect example. If the point is to cut out as much animal cruelty as possible, I don’t see a problem with someone committing to the lifestyle, being mindful of their consumption of products, but having an exception or two because it makes their life easier. In the long term if more people committed to a 90% lifestyle (that wanted to, I’m not at all shaming people who eat meat at all) then in general way less harm to animals would be done. The performative advocacy and shaming of others in public platforms makes the cause look like a joke (looking at you, PETA). Thanks for your time.

As a girl I always binge before my time of month and it makes my emotions way worse :(

Just a vent but I have been in and out of the binge cycle for years. I have it mostly under control now but it seems that here I am again, right before my period, crying, having binged. Every girl dreads their period I’m sure but I fear it every month because I know in general I’ll have a binge coming up soon. Sometimes I don’t even think about my period coming up and then boom: huge binge happens, and my period starts the next day. It starts my period off on a very depressing and anxiety driving note and I feel off all week. Does anyone else struggle with this?

[Anti Aging] Lots of changes in my skin

Hey everyone! I’m 27f and I’ve noticed this year my skin has rapidly gone from essentially problem-less to very textured :( around my nose and chin my pores have become much more visible and I have fine lines all around my forehead and eyes. I’ve also developed a little bit of acne. My skin care routine now from my derm is tretinoin .025% (use about 2-3 times a week), clindamyacin 1%, glycolic acid (use on some off days from tret), and a daily mineral sunscreen. Is there any advice anyone has who has reversed the look of pores/fine lines? Thanks :)

Struggles with workout related anxiety

One of my biggest struggles is being hyper aware of my heart rate. I’m not sure why it triggers me so much, but I completely panic when my heart rate is fast. This has really affected my health in the sense that I have trouble working out now. I rarely finish work out classes and anything really other than walking can send me into a panic attack because my heart rate raises. Advice on how to manage this?
