How do I restore this and protect it?

I have this teak table on my porch that has sat outside and gotten what I assume is mold on it. What can I do to clean this up and protect it from the outdoors? I live in Georgia, USA so the weather is warm and humid

What’s the actual nicest apartment complex/rental to live in in Athens?

I graduated undergrad in 2024 so I have a decent idea but I was always so disappointed in the quality of “luxury apartments” (remember when the Mark was supposed to be the shit?) anyway my husband and I may move back as he is about to go to law school. We don’t want a “luxury” apartment that always has trash in the hallways and always smells like weed. If it’s possible.

How can we conceal these wires?

As you can see our desk is built into our (rental) apartment’s wall. It’s a solid rock countertop with no holes for feeding wires through or anything. We want to make this look much neater. I’ve thought of those white tubes for wires but we just have so many that I’m not sure it would fix the problem.

Two shrimp dead after no deaths since tank setup several months ago

These are my parameters. Yes it’s cycled. Heavily planted. I have a pregnant shrimp which is why I’m so concerned about this. My pH is a little high and my GH is quite high so I assume one of these is the culprit but replacing my fluval carbon in case there are some toxins that got in there somehow. I’ve had this tank for a very long time (second shrimp tank) and I don’t want mama or her babies to get sick!! The two deaths appeared to be failed molts but my nerites seem to also be trying to escape. Thoughts? Temp also at a steady 74°. Sorry for scatterbrained post!

Just finished BZ. Did I miss something or was half of the story really dumb?

Didn’t she go to the planet to find out what happened to her sister? The game of course insinuated what happened but I was pretty disappointed in how non-important the worm, the different artifacts, and Marguerite were. I thought there’d be more to the worm than it just scaring the shit out of me once or twice while I was exploring.

Where is Nuclear today?

I’m an avid supporter of nuclear energy and have always been fascinated by the concept of radioactivity and nuclear power. However, I was a political science major in college and never fully understood the technology. Additionally, I’ve been working in a different sphere (housing policy) for a while now and haven’t kept up with nuclear nearly as much as I’d have liked. Where is nuclear technology today? What are the biggest constraints now?

Are small modular reactors still a thing people are working on? Are we close to a solution? What about fusion?

I’m just asking about the general state of nuclear tech today - I’m not a physicist, as mentioned so don’t feel like you have to explain in detail what the tech is. How is the industry?

I’ve never tried emersed. What do I need to know?

Pic unrelated. I have experience with underwater growth but never emersed. What can I expect to be different? Anything I wouldn’t expect? How long can growth be emersed before flooding? How moist should it be? Has anyone had issues with mold and rotting of the plants or hardscape? TIA!
