Start time for Bridgeport 7/28 show?

Hello! I know there’s similar posts to this but they didn’t exactly answer my question.

Due to work I’m not sure if I can make the Weird Al show I have tickets for in Bridgeport CT. The ticket says 7:30 pm. Can anyone tell me what time Al is going on stage if it says 7:30 pm on the ticket? Can anyone who has gone tell me? I looked at setlist.fm but it doesn’t mention ticket start times so I can’t compare those past shows to my ticket. It’s unclear to me if 7:30 is doors opening or show start time. It’s not specified.

It would be very very appreciated!

What should I do when multiple dentists don't know what's wrong?

I have been experiencing various molar issues since September of 2025. It has so far already led to one extraction in January and now another one scheduled next week. I am essentially losing teeth, and my quality of life (nonstop anxiety and pain), meanwhile multiple dentists, endodontists and periodontists have not been able to give me conclusive answers on what exactly has been going on.

As a patient, this honestly leaves me in a panic. I know dentists are not all-knowing gods but if I have tooth pain I would like to assume a dentist can tell me why it's happening, and if not that dentist, then other dentists or specialists. I have already spent thousands of dollars on dentists outside my insurance, on x-rays, on treatments like root canals, laser treatment on my gums, and as I said, an extraction. Nobody is giving me any refund of this money even though none of these treatments have helped my issue. I'm not getting the $300 for laser treatment back even though my tooth continued to hurt one week later. I'm not getting my $700 back on the root canal for a tooth that is now being extracted shortly after. I am not getting my $300 back for a 3D x-ray that the dentist ordered me to get, which then told him absolutely nothing about what is going on.

What am I as a patient supposed to do in this situation? Seriously, what do I do? I can't just keep getting a 4th, 5th, 6th opinion. I can't keep pulling out my teeth. What do I do?

Lantern Flies part 2: zoom in if you dare

This is in the bushes near where I park my car. There's 7 or 8 baby lantern flies in this photo alone hiding under the stems and leaves. We've started carrying a spray bottle full of soapy water and vinegar and killing them every time we go to the car. They drop like flies. Well, like lantern flies. It's probably useless but we've already killed like 20 of these things in only a few days.

Reading order for new Hellblazer stuff?

I cracked open one of the newer Hellblazer books ("Marks of Woe") but it seemed like it tied in with other "Sandman Universe" stuff, had a Books of Magic crossover, etc, and I felt overwhelmed and said never mind. It looked cool though!

I do want to read it though. I'm a bit of a completist and recently finished all 300 issues of original Hellblazer. Can anyone help with some sort of simple reading order for the new Hellblazer or Constantine or whatever they're calling it? I'm a little out of the loop on modern DC, to be honest.

The elderly woman selling jewelry on the street?

This is more in Rego Park, right on the border of Forest Hills. 67th Avenue and often Austin Street right by 67th Avenue.

There is a very, very elderly woman who is always sitting and holding some sort of box with random jewelry in it. Everybody ignores her. She says with a very quiet voice "jewelry" as you walk past her. She is sometimes there during incredibly hot days and she's usually all in black.

Does anyone know what the deal is with her? Does anybody care for her? Is she OK? Why does she do this? Has anyone ever bought anything from her?

I have to be honest, I don't interact with her either as I don't really interact with random people in general, but it makes me sad and I'm just wondering what is going on. She seems to do this all day several days a week, but I don't know why.

Confusion about the story in Spiral (1998)

So we finally checked out Spiral tonight, and I actually liked the movie more than I thought I would, as it was so under-hyped online that I was expecting worse. I like the idea of following the aftermath of the first movie from a medical examiner's POV.

But about 15 minutes or so before the end it lost me. Sorry if this is stupid but I didn't understand:

- The body of Mai is discovered, they said she was pregnant.

- Then Mai shows up at Ando's office, but she's now possessed by Sadako ("You're not Mai.") But wasn't she just found dead? Are they saying she gave birth to an adult version of herself? Am I crazy for guessing that or is the movie that crazy?

- How did Takayama come back in the end? How did Ando's son come back, I get that Sadako/Mai birthed him, but...how?

- I didn't really understand what Takayama was talking about in the final scene, about printing the diary as a book and infecting everyone with fear...Like what exactly are they saying will happen? He's saying it's cruel to raise his child in that world...what kind of world exactly?

We plan to watch Ringu 2 next, I've read IMDB and Wikpedia and I know it makes Spiral not canon or splits the timeline, but like does it actually contradict it, or is it just a parallel sequel story? Like, could we accept both happening?

One more question: I have a high tolerance for any quality horror movie (I just find it all pretty fun, and I enjoy franchises too), but for the movies made semi recently, are they worth checking out?

First lantern fly spotted

A tiny, tiny baby crawling up my car windshield. I wiped it. First one I've seen this year. Last year was bad, but it wasn't as bad as the year before. Hopefully that trend will continue.

Why is Hellboy out of character in the movies?

Hey everyone. I've read almost all Hellboy stuff, including spinoffs up to about 2024 (trying to catch up.)

I just watched The Crooked Man film, which was co-written by Mike Mignola. So I was confused as to why Hellboy is still kind of...out of character in it?

In the film, and in the previous films too, he's kind of an asshole. He's sarcastic, gruff, dismissive, annoyed all the time, not very friendly, reluctantly cooperative with others, only wants to do things his way, and he's basically got a bad attitude nonstop.

There are certainly elements of this in occasional Hellboy comics, but in general...Hellboy is nice! He's a nice guy. He cares about others. He's friendly. He can be sweet. He's protective. He gives a crap. He isn't constantly angered and annoyed by his BPRD coworkers or other people. Yes, he's a man of few words, but he's more stoic rather than pissed off all the time, rolling his eyes, etc.

Anyone have any idea why they can't seem to get this right in the films, even when Mignola is writing the character? Any thoughts? I haven't really seen anyone say this. And yes, I know things change from adaptation to screen (like Abe Sapien's character entirely), but it's surprising that this holds steady through all the Hellboy films, as far as I remember (recently rewatched the first one as well.)

Petition · Reject the Proposed 15–25 Story Development on Queens Blvd Between 67 ave & 67 rd.

Hi. I know nothing about this. Someone shared this with me. It's right near where I live and the loss of these businesses would be awful to me and everyone I know.

I was going through some old folders on my computer and saw this. John K posted this on his blog, maybe around 2005 judging by the file date. It was basically his pitch for a box set of the show curated by him. I have to say I wish this came out, if only to see that He Hog the Atomic Pig pilot.
