Should I talk to band members about things that happened that have been bothering me from our recent gig?

So I’ve been bothered by a few things that happened recently with my band and wondering if I should talk to my band members about this. First, my band co-founder has been asking people to play with or join or band without consulting me. The instance that really bothered me was that they asked someone to collaborate with us on keyboard when I’m usually the keyboardist but had to step in on drumkit for a gig. And this person also didn’t have the right style or skills to even cover keyboard.

Secondly, for that gig, another band member used AI to create the flyer and also spelled our band’s name wrong on that flyer but did not make changes when I asked to update the flyer. Another member wanted to repost the flyer on our account but since I have access to instagram, I removed the post since I found it problematic that the flyer was AI generated and our band’s name was spelled wrong. Another issue is one of our band members plays the harp. Our guitarist had to step back and said the harpist should cover some guitar parts but the harpist didn’t step up and do that and I’m also left wondering why we have a harp player in the band when we need certain parts covered and sometimes are short of a guitarist. It frustrated me that rather than put effort into making sure we had guitar, drums, bass and covered which I have done the most work to ensure for our band, the other members recruited an unqualified keyboardist without consulting me when that is usually my part.

Would appreciated advice on how yo bring this up tactfully or whether I should bring up these issues at all…

how do people get effects when playing the flute? pedals, pre-amp processors, vocal processor

I've been seeing a bunch of flutists play through PAs outdoors or in their online videos with a lot of effects applied to their flute sound. I've also seen some loop their flute and switch to another instrument. Can folks provide insight on what pedals, pre-amps, vocal processors and setup this would require? I am looking to have my own setup and lost as to where to start with buying these different things.

[Offered] lease takeover near east hollywood/silverlake for $1200 bedroom in 2bd2bth with parking starting August 2026

Looking for a roommate ideally in their mid 20s-30s for a lease takeover starting within the first 2 weeks of August 2026 for a $1200 bedroom in a 2bd/1.5 bath apartment lease near beverly vermont, border of ktown, east hollywood, and silverlake neighborhoods. Comes with one gated, non-tandem parking spot and is 5 mins away from bus and beverly Vermont metro stop. Monthly electric and wifi utilities, usually ~$80-100 a person.

Walking distance to many grocery stores.

There are a few stair steps from the street & parking entrance to the apartment door. And one flight of stairs inside the apt from common areas to bedrooms upstairs.

The room is 12 ft x 11 ft with a view of the hollywood hills and a double door closet.

Apt has ac on the first floor, and dishwasher and shared storage space downstairs with laundry in the building.

There are 2 calm ESA cats here that stay mainly in my room, open to living with another cat. No dogs allowed in the building.

Very responsive management. For the lease takeover, you’ll need to apply through the management and pass their credit and background check. You should meet 2 of the following: have a credit score above 700, have proof of income for at least ~$35K a year, and/or have proof of savings. OR you should be prepared to have a guarantor co-sign

Looking for someone who is communicative, considerate, and accountable about shared responsibilities such as chores, and prioritizes keeping a clean home. Fellow student/musician/creative a plus. Must be a lgbtq+ ally or fellow queer. Must also be covid vaccinated.

Neighbors in the building are families, some with young children so its usually quiet after 10pm.

Having guests over is cool as long as folks are considerate and keep it to a reasonable volume.

About me: non-binary, queer, Aries, in my 30s, person of color. I’m a musician, work in the restaurant & hospitality industry, and currently studying at LACC. Im often in and out of the apartment because of classes, work, rehearsals and performances. Im hanging out with my cats when home and will occasionally practice in my room and keep the playing to a low volume.  I have an electronic drumkit and midi keyboard that im happy to share if you want to play/practice on it.

DM if interested and we can set up a video call/in person tour.
