Help with how to create another part from existing part

I want to create a lid that follows the form of this existing part, with extrusions that dip into the part for a snap fit. I'm not sure the terminology to search for to find the best technique. Like an "inverse cavity" from another part, I want to partially fill in the existing cavities and connect them with a lid.

I tried to create an offset with a bit of overhang, but the fillets made things a bit weird and I couldn't select the right curvature to create a new extrusion to cap it.

Trying to avoid having to maintain all the dimensions of individual parts to keep them fitting together.

Whirlpool WET4024HW0 washer will agitate, but won't spin

Spin cycle starts up and the center agitator will rotate—the motion is jerky and not smooth, but I'm not sure if that's by design—issue is the main tub will not spin at all during the cycle. Everything up until the spin phase works as far as I can tell. Is this a clutch problem?

Not sure if it's something I want to take on since the main thing is identifying the issue in the first place, and getting access is tricky.

License Plate Mount

Didn't want to drill holes in my bumper so printed up a plate frame and paired it with some round bar clamp mounts to attach it to the tow hooks up front. Yep I did run out of brass inserts but 2 should hold the plate on well enough.
