Loved our first time experience …. But

I will never take a cruise ship to Alaska again…. Let me explain.

We had 11 days on land in the kenai. Small groups, moving between three amazing lodges. It was what we were hoping for in an experience.

We decided to add a cruise at the end from Seward to Vancouver as a way to see the SE locations and frankly recover from a very active land trip.

The ship and food etc was great.. exactly what we usually get from any of the major cruise lines. It as a bit of a shock going from small group travel to a ship of thousands, but that is on us.

What I won’t do again is impact the towns like I saw us and 3-4 other cruise ships all at the same time. I am sorry we did this to the people in those towns. Yes, I understand that the season is short and they make hay in the summer, and thousands of seasonal workers depend on the tourism.. but I had to think long and hard if the towns wanted it.. or are just coping with it since it cannot be stopped.

When I come back, it will be with my two feet and maybe 4 wheels….

Wifi sucked

JAX to Denver 7/10

Wifi was absolutely miserable... Even the crap on the app like TV and movies was interrupted...

T-Mobile access was horrible...

WTF..

A sign from the universe...

While at the gym deciding on my pre-order, my truck's spirit animal parked right out front of the gym...

Booked for Q1 delivery 👍

Return policies

No... Not the vehicle itself but the 3rd party stuff.. Especially if it's ordered as DIY.

This is an issue people like Amazon face but not typically car companies.

Will be interesting.

The race for SL8 plates…

Gonna be fun to get to the DMV as fast as possible and see if I can get the first SL8 plate.. or some variation of that if it’s needed…

Accessory vendors

I’ve been using the design tool to make my plan.. love the tool.

I plan on carrying two kayaks using the roof rack and tall bed rack to hold them. Is there any indication who is making those racks? I would really love to see a Thule or Yakima branded solution for reputation of strength and parts availability.

I've been using OneDrive and or Google Drive for years to store my quicken backup file. Last couple times I've logged on to Classic on my windows laptop a warning message comes up about potential problems using cloud storage.

I've been a quicken user for decades and seeing this message pop up makes me suspect that this isn't really an issue other than them pushing their own backup solutions?

Is anyone aware of a real change that would make my decades-long workflow need to change?
