I have done my research, and seen what others are pushing with their e-motors, but whenever I talk to the motor sellers in my area, they seem to think that what I’m looking at will not work for my boat.
I have a 24 ft/7.5 m, 2120 kg keelboat. I am planning to get the Epropulsion Spirit 2.
Can you all who use electric motors tell me what model you’re using and the size (length and weight) of your boat?
Thank you!
Problem is intermittent but may be getting more frequent. It is resolved by turning it off/on and turning it back on/off again. Is this something all mini splits do (as my husband suggests), or should I contact the installers to troubleshoot?
Got installed in June by a subpar team.
At the end of the movie, when Mirabel sets up Mariano and Dolores, he said “Dolores, I see you,” and Dolores says back, “and I hear you.”
I think it would show much more character growth for the two characters if Mariano had said “I hear you” and Dolores had said “I see you.”
This part is not far after the line, “You’re more than just your gift.” But having Dolores say “I hear you” makes it seem like that’s all she does. And Mariano saying “I see you” makes him still seem shallow after pursuing señorita perfecta Isabela and not even seeing who she really was or that she wasn’t even happy with him.
But maybe that’s the point—that they didn’t experience growth..?
So I’m in conversations over a boat I’m planning to buy. The seller is also the original designer builder of the boat in the 70s. I asked about the outboard motor since it was not in the photos, and he proceeded to tell me that he never uses it and just sails in and out of harbor. Obviously he’s a master, and people docked forever without motors. But, like, how??? Anyone have a video they can share?
Edit: I probably meant mooring
I’m considering a purchase of about 40,000 DKK / ~60,000 SEK in Denmark. I currently bank with Handelsbanken. Do I bring a check? Can I do an instant online bank transfer, or is the amount too high?
The item is a used boat from the 1970s. It saw that you need to pay VAT if it is a new boat, but have not found anything about used boat declarations from Tullverket. Am I free from declarations?
Thanks for your help!
Saw a video on youtube where a guy did just that in Denmark. Luckily for him he had a sailor friend. Curious to know how common this is!
Note: I am not encouraging this behavior
Hi! I am probably going to buy this Walker Bay 8 tomorrow. It will be my first boat ever. I’m basically looking for a bowl with a sail attached to it that I can move by myself and don’t have to varnish.
My questions are, what kind of sail is this? I haven’t seen other Walker Bays with a similar sail shape. Also, will this be an OK first boat? I live right next to a canal and harbor with many days of very to fairly calm winds (the kind of winds I will attempt to sail and row).
Thank you for your input!
I am having work done on my house that started today and will be finished tomorrow. First, they were late, and then they disappeared for hours, then left a mess on the bed!, and didn’t finish on time. Also they don’t take off shoes unless asked. I thought people were supposed to be really good about that here??
Is this normal? I told one of the guys that maybe they shouldn’t use people’s beds/pillows as staging areas and that I could have gotten a table and showed him all the paint chips and screws left on the bed.
Am I being unreasonable??? Mostly care about the timeliness and messiness. I don’t know what to expect, but other contractors have been (mostly) better.
