UPDATE - We completely missed the symptoms

https://www.reddit.com/r/Retatrutide/s/H8IwWQHl9S

My wife is a type 2 diabetic. She has been on prescription Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) for a little over 3 years now. 7.5mg worked wonders at controlling her sugars and she certainly didn't mind the weight loss that came with it.

She had the normal gastrointestinal side effects that accompany any of the GLP-1s. It never even crossed our minds that her side effects could be anything else.

WHAT I AM ABOUT TO TELL YOU ISN'T FEAR MONGERING. I still believe in the GLP-1s, and I in no way believe they were the cause.

7 days ago my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. She had all the symptoms and WE IGNORED THEM. The GLP-1 side effects are exactly the same as cancer symptoms. It never even crossed our minds that there might be something else going on.

3 days ago my wife underwent emergency surgery to remove 2 of the 3 tumors. She is weak, but stable. Hopefully she will be home by next weekend. We are gearing up for the biggest fight of our lives. It is a fight that the statistics say we can't win. We intend to prove them wrong.

I did not write this to scare anyone away from taking GLP-1s. I did write this in hopes that it will scare somebody in to scheduling that colonoscopy they have been putting off.

I do not believe that the Tirzepatide caused this, but I know it hid the symptoms, and we would have caught it sooner without it.

Please get your colonoscopy done. It might save your life

UPDATE - We completely missed the symptoms

https://www.reddit.com/r/ResearchCompounds/s/LaRl3Xqejt

Do you guys know those posts, where the OP comes back with an update about how they never expected the post to get so much attention? Well this is another one of those updates.

I posted our story in several different subreddits earlier this week. My goal was to get this information out there in the hopes that it stopped someone else from making the same mistakes we did. I have been reading comments, answering questions, and responding to DMs ever since. I Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has shown support for my wife and I. It has really meant a lot in our darkest hour. The internet can truly surprise you once in a while.

So on to the update. My wife finally got to come home yesterday. After a full week in recovery, she was finally strong enough to return home. It was one of the happiest moments of my life, but also one of the most sobering moments as well. We have spent the last 24 hours taking stock of our new life. They took a lot more than just a piece of her colon in that surgery. They took our sense of safety, our care free attitude, and left us trying to navigate the complications of colostomy and oncology. That is weighing very heavily on her right now. I do the best I can to lift her spirits, but I'd be lying if I said she isn't struggling.

One the brighter side, the pathology report came back yesterday as well, and it was better than we expected. No cancer was detected in the lymph nodes, appendix, small intestine, or abdominal fluid. THIS WAS GREAT NEWS!!! There is one lesion left in the liver, but it's small, very treatable, and we already knew that was there. So we're lucky that cancer wasn't detected anywhere unexpected.

We are gearing up for the biggest fight of our lives. We are 100% determined to beat this together. WE ARE ABOUT TO KICK CANCERS ASS!!! It doesn't stand a chance.

So we have started to plan our victory party. At some point in the near future she will be diagnosed NED, and we will be throwing the biggest celebration at a resort bar in Tahiti. You are all invited to join us. We can all raise a glass to the death of cancer!!!

Once again, from both my wife and I, thank you all for your support. I can't tell you how much it has meant.

Just started ghk-cu

So I bought a single vial of ghk-cu from a reseller just so my wife and I could try it and decide if we wanted to buy a full kit.

I'm running 2mg daily along with some collagen peptides and vitamin C.

I've only been on it for 4 days. I feel like it's way to early to be seeing any results, but this morning when I got out of the shower I swear my skin looked better. It's like my skin plumped up and moisturized itself a bit. It was especially noticeable around the eyes. Less sunken in and the dark circles were lighter.

I'm sure this is just wishful thinking and I'm imagining the changes, but it has me starting to believe that maybe there is still hope for my wrinkly 50 year old ass.
