Hi, I guess I just wanted to vent.

My friend `F/27’ and I `F/27’ have known each other since college. We both got engaged several months apart this year. I got engaged first but her wedding will come first next summer, mine will be next fall!

So I started noticing that she was starting to copy me since I got engaged. For example, I got an elongated cushion cut ring. She has never seen that before and asked her fiance for the exact same. Turns out, he used his family heirloom instead (which I still think is really beautiful).

Then, I told everyone since college (we’ve been friends since college) about 5 years ago that my dream bachelorette is at Rosemary beach Florida which is not as known as other major beaches. My friend has never heard of this beach until I started talking about it and just announced that she also will have it there (1.5 months before mine lol). So my first time ever at my dream bachelorette will be at the someone else’s. The beach is super small so basically the same itinerary. At this point I was starting to feel weird.

Next, I expressed I wanted a charcuterie board for my cocktail hour and she thought that was cute and then the next week, announced she also will get one. That one was whatever, a lot of weddings do that.

Today, I told her I got the therabody face mask to prep for my wedding and just now, the very day, she shares she also just got one.

Maybe I’m overreacting but it’s starting to feel like she’s copying? I might be wrong and definitely overthinking but I can’t help but feel like she’s copying me ever since we got engaged. And it sucks because I don’t want to treat our weddings like a competition.

Hi, I’ve reached out to several DJs via Instagram and no one does silent disco (which is totally understandable lol). My outdoor venue requires loud music to stop at 10pm but I’d love to keep the party going until at least 11pm. Only way I can is with silent disco. I don’t want to go to a bar/hotel after (it’s middle of nowhere)

Hi, I live in MCOL city in the south, and my wedding is next year. I have only met with one florist so far and she asked me my budget and I got nervous and said $6 for some reason. But then they quoted me exactly $6k. I’m honestly not sure if I’m being charged too much. I have another meeting with a different florist soon in 2 weeks but this current florist is pressing me kinda to sign the contract (very nice people). Attached is my “moodboard”.

100 people, 5 bridesmaids, about 14 table florals, sweetheart table florals, 2 big florals for ceremony, 2 for welcome sign/seating chart, 6 cocktail small florals, 2 florals for ground decor at reception. Overall a targeted $50k budget wedding if that helps?

Maybe I got a good deal?? lol idk I just don’t know how to get insight unless I speak with other florists but I’m impatient to wait another 2 weeks😭

Hi! I’m getting married next year and am hoping to plan the bachelorette soon!

I am not the biggest fan of beaches so thinking vineyard/wine tasting would be so fun and different! However, I’m concern about the transportation part. We will all be out of state from the south. I understand the most convenient airport would be SFO but then to either rent a car or uber to Napa valley. Which I’m assuming is 1.5 hrs. There will be 6-8 girls total. Does the long transportation put a damper on the trip?

Also would love to hear some advice or tips for Napa Valley if anyone has been!

-not really into clubbing but I did find a pedal bus that I think could be fun in the town? lol
-not much Airbnbs so that’s a bit of a concern

Hi, I’m getting married next fall. My dream bachelorette is rosemary beach, however, my bestfriend just announced hers will also be there (even though I’ve talked about this for years since college lol) anyway, is it pointless to attend rosemary beach back to back, 2 months from each other? Hers would be first.

I’m asking because we have several mutual friends who are a lot closer to me, if they had to choose one, they would choose mine. And I don’t her want getting mad at me for that.

So, would attending rosemary beach back to back be fine (enough activities) or should I just go with Destin? :/
