Recently finished Resurrection and remembered this screenshot I took of this moment at >!Lila's!< apartment and wanted to post it. I really appreciated the visual symbolism here where Dexter almost looks like a demon in hell surrounded by the fire and the creepy paintings, holding up a clothing hanger thing which obviously looks like a demon/ devil pitchfork.

Just thought it looked really cool in the moment with the general theme of him strugging with his dark passenger/ shadow trying to balance the bad with the kernel of good inside of him. Risking the kids lives by entangling himself with danger like Lila, the lying and the kills, but also risking his life to save them, Deb and himself in these dire moments. This moment always felt like a visual symbol for that eternal dynamic. Of what situations the dark passenger can get him into, and how Dexter always has to find a way out.
