Cyberpunk Paladin (OC)

Cyberpunk Paladin (OC)

For those who play Cyberpunk2077, this is my V. I am a dungeon master, and for my upcoming campaign that his heavily psionic flavored, (and since I am obsessed with V), I wanted to bring her in as an NPC, but give her a medieval flair. She is entirely made of metal and other non-organic material. A “ghost in the shell” concept. Her body was created by another NPC.

V but make her medieval knight. (OC)

Obsessed with her. I am a dungeon master, and my upcoming campaign is heavily psionics flavored. Naturally, i wanted to bring in V as a psionic paladin. She is a “ghost in the shell” concept with her body created by another NPC.

Celestial concept with humanoid form (by me)

Explored something of an angelic harpy sorts, and gave her a buff set of arms in her wings. Figured this’d be more realistic.

Character design! Djedhora, Drow psionic artificer

I’m a DM and for my upcoming DnD campaign, I illustrated Djedhora, a primary NPC who will support the players on all the quests. She is a Drow psionic artificer.

Bark Bark Girl — Can someone explain the ending to me?

I don’t understand. A random Hispanic man (?) brings a dog to an ESL office. (I assume this is English as second language office or school?). What does he mean by “only one today”. Is this guy just dropping off dogs and other random animals all the time at the ESL office? Did Kuma find a new owner, or is he like…. At the shelter and I’m misunderstanding what ESL is? Weird dog trade market? Who is this random woman?

Otherwise. Fantastic read. I recommend.

Porc the Orc by me. (OC)

Porc the Orc. Girl is a bouncer for a sewer gambling den, so her tusks glow with bioluminescent algae. OC. Made as an NPC in DnD campaign. Hoping the background isn’t too dark. Idk

Sewer and Prison! 36 x 24 - bonus illustration of sewer characters - everything illustrated by me

Players will meet a bunch of weirdos in the gambling den called The Winking Cyclops. Then they will break a devil out of prison.

Questions about paladin player I am struggling with... help!

SO - i've realized after 5ish sessions, i've kind of fudged this. This is my first time being a DM, and i'm learning as I go. What a session 0 could had solved, I now have to navigate. Would love some advice and perspective!!

1. Who decides if the paladin broke their oath? Is it the player? Is it the DM? A combo of both?

2. When should this conversation happen? — I assume session 0, of which, oops... i did not do that. I didn't know what i didn't know at that time, and if i did, i would had vetoed his character. What/how is the best way to go about this conversation with said paladin player?

3. How do you establish what constitutes as breaking an oath? My player is "oath of the watchers". Goal: protect from otherworldly threats, specifically the far realms. Alignment: lawful good. Thus, this player's character does not drink nor have sex, but I can't get clarity on to what extent this character is "lawful good" from said player. Lawful to what... to helm? To the city we're located within? Does being an accomplice to murder count? Does killing a redeemable player count? I'm confused. See number 4 for more context.

4. I asked for a list of things that would break oath, and player said, "i don't know, i'll know it when it happens". And i said, "my dude, that's nebulous, and i need to prep for this encounter" and I followed up with, "who decides breaking the oath?", and he said the player gets to decide, and if not, i'd be taking away player agency, so i said, "please send list since player is deciding". He reluctantly agreed to send list.... but i haven't recieved anything. What is standard in this situation? Was I wrong to ask for clarity//a list? I found it off-putting he was giving push back, but then, i'm new, so i'm hoping for some guiding advice.

5. General question: how do you define an oath of the watchers, paladin of helm? I told the player, "helm does not give a damn if your character has sex, only if you let some far realms threat be unleashed in the world". My player, who is playing lawful-good, no drinking & no sex, said "yeah relations are fine but blind sex probably not". So i feel like we're not aligned on how we are defining being a paladin of Helm. Maybe i'm not not understanding this kind of paladin.

6. How do you react to this message? Is he right? And do I need to know if player wants to break his oath? I don't know how to react to this message: "I still don’t know if [character name] will break his oath. Like I’ve talked about it. But idk if it will happen, and I don’t really want the story to force my characters hand. I think that’s part of the fun. Having you the DM adapt to my characters autonomy as a player in the world." Its frustrating because this player says i don' want my character to force his hand, but he wont tell me what breaks his character's oath...

thanks in advance!! : )

For my dnd campaign. A sewer fisherman and his goldfish kuo toa.

If anyone has suggestions on how to make more sewer feeling, I’m all ears!

I and a DM who has created a homebrew set in calimport (desert Mediterranean pot city), and my players are going into the sewers next session so I came up with these two.

Thought process: Falmar is an aquatic elf who, for whatever reason, has left his former aquatic life in the calimshan sea for the sewers of Calimport. He makes a living by selling sewer fish. They wear robes that disguise and camoflauge cause the sewers are dangerous. There will be mushrooms in my sewers, hence the mushroom outfits. Fish Friend is Blurblebluble but he goes by Blurble, and he is kinda not smart but very rotund and I love him.

Apparently I’m supposed to have 400 word count. So.

Was fun to figure out how to integrate cowboy in with DnD forgotten realms fantasy without it just looking like a really cool RDR2 character. Hoping the potion bottle and vials of ingredients rounds it out and say “wizard”. Separately, he owns a giant lizard farm, per drow lore.

Tarbrak is a monolith of mental health. He comes from the lowest ranked house in menzoberranzan and his mom and dad have created a loving household, he has a healthy relationship with both his parents and siblings. The pretend to be poor so no one notices them. They also pretend to hate each other in public, but behind doors it’s all shits and giggles. I needed ONE mentally sane NPC in my campaign, so you know what. Here is a character with ZERO TRAUMA. He willingly joined bregan d’aerthe so he could rise the ranks to a level that let him leave Menzo so he could go to Calimport to save his friend Zebza. Tarbrak has an “older brother” relationship with Zebza, even tho they’re not related. Tarbrak’s on-off girlfriend is Ak’vra, who owns Agency Menzo, and in my campaign, is accidentally responsible for a broken portal spewing demons into Calimport.

To be honest, this campaign that I am DMing is a homebrew, so it’s full of flaws. Tarbrak is actually a very minor side quest NPC. I decided to give the players a pet displacer beast kitten that they found on the streets of Calimport. It was being abused by its new owner who just purchased it from a pet shop. My PCs killed the owner and befriended the kitten. Every session, it grows bigger. Tarbrak, my lil arcane cowboy, told them that if the ever find an obsidian wonder figurine (or whatever it’s called), to let him know so he can put the displaced beast, Damien, into the figurine. My players don’t know yet that this means Tarbrak will have to (humanely) kill their new pet in order to upload the cat to the figurine and astral plane. (Yes, direct reference to guen in drizzt series. My players somehow have managed to not know who drizzt is, even tho one of them has played DnD since he was like, 15. Flabbergasting. And I just got into DnD/drizzt two years ago).

I have no idea what 400 word counts look like. I haven’t written an essay in ages. Like, I’m literally an artist by day, artist by night. I hope this is enough info, and if anyone actually reads this, congrats, I love you I guess.

Ak'vra owns Agency Menzo. She is currently "responsible" for all the bad stuff happening in my campaign, but my players don't know it yet.
