82 Toyota Corona Manual Swap

This car has been a bigger nightmare than my E36. I sourced a 4 speed Borg Warner manual, and by the luck of the gods a used manual pedal box and after 3 different companies said they could no longer supply a clutch kit I had one come in 'clutch' and save the day, but then I had the issue of figuring out a clutch fork and carrier, because the OEM part is of course non existent anymore and after 2 failed eBay replacements, I managed to adapt the factory slave to fit the fork that came with the pedal box, and even though I bought a whole new bearing carrier, it also ended up being wrong BUT once again the guy I got the fork and pedals from sent me his carrier. So now, with luck, I just need to finish getting this bitch mounted which of course is proving difficult

[Sales] [Australia] - $101,000

Midway through a degree, current buying power is actually less than it was in 2021-2022 due to rising costs of living. Plan to upgrade from our starter home and clear car debt within 24 months and transition into a career aligned with my degree

Gearbox Rebuild

Well.. sort of. This exact gearbox apparently doesn't exist, it's a Borg Warner 0505 single rail, and after months of digging there is quite literally no data on this box anywhere, best guess is it's a bit of a Frankenstein it turns out as the tail and bellhousing are aluminium while the housing is iron, apparently this doesn't align with a single other 05 series Aussie box of the time, and has parts similar to a Mitsubishi Sigma box as well as a ford single rail, so best guess is that it was a final series run in my XT130 Corona and so literally shares nothing in common with the latter 0507 or prior boxes. So I tore it apart, inspected all the gears and synchros which were thankfully good and jammed it back together after a good clean along with some thankfully correct sized NSK bearings (because those original koyos also don't fucking exist anymore)

Now just finishing fabbing up a new clutch pedal and bracket asap..yes my welds are ugly but they hold lol

F40 with a kids booster seat in it

Saw it just parked on the street in Sydney a few months ago. Absolutely insane to see one, let alone to see one with the kids booster seat in lol. Part of me still thinks it had to be a kit car

Flow Designs Australia Front Lip

Snagged this front lip that was an unfitted returned stock for $350 and decided to jump on it for the savings, only had a tiny little scuff. Grabbed the winglets as well because that's the part I was actually after.

About 1.5 hours to fit, instruction sheet is just an image diagram but they have an install video as well that made it super simple.

It's chassis mounted, and when it said there's no bumper removal needed I was a bit sceptical however it actually was incredibly simple

Quality wise it is fantastic, it's obviously a 3D printed part but it's very thick about 10mm, and all the chassis mounting hardware is stainless steel, it also has a steel support bracket that is bolted across the front of the lip to add to the ridigity/durability.

My only gripe really is that you can get a gloss lip like I have, but the winglets are the textured finish only, might sand it smooth and paint them myself at some stage.

Anyway 9/10. Aussies if you want some body kit stuff this is really well made and very affordable.

After never having the time I finally spent a few hours giving the tolla a one step, could do with a finer polish pass on a few spots but it's good enough for me. Also the $9 cone shaped drill attachment worked far better than expected on the wheels.
