Mac Browser Choice
I have Safari and Brave installed on my iMac 2017 running on Sequoia (via OpenCore Legacy Patcher). Which of these two browsers do you prefer? Or do you like something else.

I bought a 2017 iMac and souped it up to run Sequoia by OpenCore Legacy Patcher. This is a well designed computer with a beautiful operating system. Currently I am using the apps that came on the computer only. I might download an office suite to have suitable word processing capabilities. Any advice for this Mac novice is welcome.
So I am now dual-booting one of my machines with Zorin OS 18 and Fedora 44. Gnome is pretty flexible, but you have to use tweaks and extensions to get you there. There are also a couple of codec issues I have discovered that can be solved by a search for their solutions. So right now I have a desktop with Linux Mint Cinnamon. A laptop with Zorin OS 18 and another laptop with Zorin and Fedora installed. Any advice about Fedora is welcomed.
I just read a blog post about Brave going to a paid model. To me it was a little confusing. Will there continue to be a free option available? I know it will be free on Linux, but what about other platforms?
I am still getting used to the Brave browser. So far I am pleased. Today I am doing some stuff with Google Photos, and it's working like a champ. I am also figuring out other things that I can do to make it my own. Thanks to all who have helped me along the way.
I am having a big problem toggling on the system title bar on Brave. Does anyone have any tips?
After a few YouTube videos and other research, I finally figured out how to make Brave a lean, mean browsing machine. Two key things: get rid of the Web3 stuff and the Crypto things. Also, make your start page clean and minimal. I finally figured out the sync system, too. It was kind of fun doing this.
Any other things I should do? Advice welcome. Thanks in advance.
I like The Brave Browser. I just need to figure out the synch feature.
My question is does the crypto and ad stuff bother you? Also, the sketchy nature of its developer/founder seems problematic, what do you think?
Hi! I will be giving Brave an audition for a while. I am still figuring things out, but that is part of the fun. So far so good. My browser of choice made an update that makes things look a little wonky. Any tips or tricks are welcome.
A friend of mine gave me a 2011 iMac, and I am dual booting Linux Mint 22.3 and Fedora KDE. I have to say it runs slow at times, but it is not horrible. It has 4 gigs of memory and I have ordered 4 more to upgrade it to 8 gigs. KDE is cool and with Fedora it makes it even better. I don't think I am brave enough to put a SSD in it. I might take it somewhere to get that done. All-in-all I am pleased.
I was given a 2011 iMac yesterday. Under the hood It's got a 500gb HDD, 4 gigs of ram and a 21-inch screen I think. I put Linux Mint Cinnamon on it, and it runs quite well. I am very impressed. I will be upgrading the hard drive and memory to speed it up a bit. Are there any other recommendations you have to make it run better?
