Coming from Voice Audiobook Player.

Using free version but in my 30 day free trial period. So far I really like this app but I was wondering if what I'm experiencing is a bug or something.

While listening to an audiobook, if I go to my library, the currently-playing audiobook is paused and also the notification shade controller disappears.

Is this normal, is it a bug or is it a possible incompatibility with my phone?

I can go into settings of the app or even use another app and the currently-playing book keeps playing, so I find it odd if wanting to browse the library while I listen isn't allowed in this app. It's not a huge deal breaker if it's just the way it is, but just wondering. I've looked in the settings and there doesn't seem to be a setting pertaining to this.

I usually get an Obama Phone / Lifeline phone from the tents outside the welfare office, but somebody said to look into working with a provider directly. They told me to post here. I've gotten TruConnect, SafetyNet Wireless, SafeLink Wireless, Assurance Wireless, etc.

Can I get service from one of the big providers directly? Or do I have to get one of these off brand ones?

I'm having trouble activating visual voicemail on Android with safelink wireless using their T-Mobile SIM card. None of T-Mobile's visual voicemail apps, work with my phone. Since I took a break from them more than a year and came back, they still have an issue with visual voicemail.

Using Unihertz Jelly Star with Safelink T-Mobile SIM card.

Anymore the phone will shut down when it shows battery 30-50%. It seems random so I can't tell you why it shuts down when it does. However when it shuts down and I put a charger on it, it will show that the battery has a charge on it already, like 30% or higher so it should not have shut down if that is true. There is no bulge or other noticeable signs of internal damage to the battery.

BTW: when I say shut down, I mean the OS goes into shut down routine just like it normally would if a healthy battery's voltage goes too low or like I intentionally shut it down, not that the phone just goes dead.

It could be the battery that is just "old and worn" with a lot of internal resistance and voltage sag/drop, but I guess it could be the phone. How can I troubleshoot this to figure out if it's the battery or not?

TL;DR: The issue may be with your SIM card.

Story:

I have 2 lines. My oldest line has a SIM card that is 5+ years old, the newer line has a SIM card that is less than 2 years old.

I got a new phone with Android 16 and put my old SIM in it. I was not able to activate unconditional call forwarding, only conditional call forwarding. In the Phone app, the option for unconditional forwarding was grayed out and off. Using the *21*PHONENUMER# method, I would get an error stating the feature was not supported.

So I put the newer SIM in my new Android 16 phone and was able to activate unconditional call forwarding using whatever method. Then I put my older SIM in the older Android 11 phone and it was also allowed using either method.

So I deduced that the culprit was that older Tello SIM cards have issues compatibility with some features in newer Android versions or mine became defective in some ways, somehow.

I contacted Tello about it & they agreed that given my findings I must be correct in my assumption, so they sent me a new SIM card, no charge, to see if that corrects the problem.

The new SIM card did indeed fix the problem. I can now set unconditional call forwarding on my Android 16 phone with this new SIM.

I'm posting this because I have seen posts here complaining about call forwarding issues while I was troubleshooting my own problem and the posts pretty much are not very useful in terms of solutions. So if you're having call forwarding issues, it might just be your SIM card. Contact customer support (if you do your own investigating beforehand, it will be much better), they may just send you a new SIM card or issue you a new eSIM to fix this problem.

Was the info in it outdated or something? It was very useful.

2 days ago I was in my garden and 20 feet away a cardinal landed on the ground and kept looking up at a bush tomato plant. After about 30 seconds, it fluttered up about a foot in the air into the plant and when it landed back to the ground it had a hornworm in it's beak, not fully grown but almost. It then quickly flew away into an arborvitae with it.

I was so happy to see this! I rarely see birds eating insects in my garden and to see one take a hornworm is fantastic. I later decided to prune all my bush tomatoes and didn't find any but I did find the tell-tale "window" damage on a few leaves from tiny hornworms when they are too small to really do much "chomping", so I sprayed by first round of BT for the year.

Gotta love the cardinals!

When I scout for hornworms I usually collect them then place then on my driveway. Within 15-20 minutes they are gone but I never get to see which birds came by to snatch them up. Could be cadinals!

Never had a problem with SLF in the garden but this year I found 2 nymphs about 2 months ago on sunflower plants. Today I found another one, though larger with some red on it, on a tomato plant stem.

So far I can see no damage, but it's really pissing me off if I have to start dealing with these fuckers in my garden now.

Couple years ago someone shared a picture with me of adults on their cucumber plant which they claimed totally decimated the plants. I only saw a pic of them all over the stems, but I cannot say for sure if they truly attack any garden plants - flowers or vegetable plants - since cucumber beetles will easily kill a cucumber plant, though I can't think of why they would be all over a plant if they were not attacking it in some way.

I killed one but they are too fast to get when you want to try not to ruin your plant.

Aaaargh!

EDIT: But what I'm wondering how is since they have no wings they must have hatched in or very close to the garden.

I mean, do they get some sort of alert/notification that the text cannot be sent or does nothing change on their end leading them to think you are ignoring them?

Honest question, because I get a fair amount of dead birds on my property which i believe are killed by the 3 or 4 stray cats in the area, and they are always native birds. But I never find a mangled and dead invasive house sparrow.

Did they change the syntax for searching a specific user's uploads I have tried the following syntax with no luck...

does show all of a user's uploads, but I need to search a user's uploads.

Did TPB stop allowing searching within user's uploads at some point?

Just got my AASD school tax bill and from last year to this year the increase was a WHOPPING 86%.

My sister lives a block away from me, her increase was only 39% up from last year. Still a huge increase but less than half of my increase.

We both live in the same blue collar, 100 year old neighborhood and no improvements were made to either property in the last ~20 years.

Make it make sense.

Can anyone recommend a reputable supplier to buy these San Marzano Redorta seeds?
