Debra Kauble (then Debra Tomey) came forward in 1986 under the pseudonym "Kathie Davis" in the book Intruders by Budd Hopkins. She was one of the first people to come forward in the dark days of the UFO stigma to talk about what she and her family had experienced with NHI. In 2026 Debra gave a moving speech for the Rice University Center for The Impossible's symposium on "Breaking the Taboo" detailing how she navigated this journey of being a public experiencer while also raising children and navigating her own lifetime of extraordinary experiences. She is one of the most authentic and grounded people you could meet in relation to these experiences. We make this video public to our Anomalous Coalition audience so you can see the journey of personal transformation that accompanies anomalous experience. We thank Debra, The Center for the Impossible, and the John Mack Institute for permission to post this video.

There are two videos here - the first is from the Breaking the Taboo symposium in 2026. The second is her first appearance on TV in 1986. We are doing this to show you what experiencer attitudes are towards their experiences and how they fundamentally mature as someone ages and comes to look at even the most initially scary experiences for the transformative lessons they can be.

I think it's important that experiencers get to see what it looks like to successfully integrate your experiences, to understand and welcome the transformative power of the impossibility, and the importance of support systems while you navigate these waters.

Deb will be appearing on the Anomalous Coalition event on 9/13 along with Host Thomas Jane, Dave Foley and documentarian Dean Alioto. She appears in Dean's documentary Experiencers: Full Disclosure. https://www.experiencersmovie.com/

You can ask Deb questions here in the announcement post for the event or watch our livestream at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM PST on YouTube here (you can watch after the livestream broadcast as well).

Dave Foley and Jeremy Corbell dicuss a jointly witnessed UAP that they also photographed. This is really compelling as its a jointly witnessed event with evidence.

Dave has deeply researched this topic and would welcome your questions. The event is special guest hosted by Actor Thomas Jane (The Expanse, The Punisher, The Mist), Documentary Director Dean Alioto and Experiencer ("Kathie Davis" depicted in Budd Hopkins Intruders) Deb Kauble.

We're releasing the questions from our August 22nd multi-subreddit livestream AMA as individual clips, so each one is easy to watch and share. This is the first question of the event.

Matthew Brown answers first, followed by Jeff Nuccetelli. Both go into what it actually cost them both professionally and personally to come forward. It's a direct answer to something this community asks about constantly but rarely hears addressed firsthand.

Host: investigative journalist Leslie Kean.
