Point and Cirelli just aren’t reliable offensive centers any longer and showed as such down the stretch.

Point has just 12 points in 23 playoff games since the leafs series in 2023. He was also being temp. swapped with Paul for faceoffs which is concerning.

Cirelli has 11 with the same amount of games played & same timeframe.

Gourde’s great defensively and was actually ranked 2nd in Selke voting by the athletic recently, he’s obviously a great player to have, but he’s arguably an even bigger liability offensively than the other two listed.

Paul is a 10-12 minute a night player nowadays and can’t really be trusted for anything consistently besides faceoffs.
