Itching for more variety...

I'll start with an actual mini not a box, I got my first layer of paint on my Contemptor Dreadnought, slowly working on this one and had a few minutes yesterday.

But the local game shop is running a strong deal on some boxes off a small table, so I grabbed Ordo Xenos yesterday since they're kind of adjacent and I'm a hobbyist more than a player right now

Visited today since I was near, now they have Ordo Malleus on the table (so close but slightly different), along with the Imperial Knights Eye of Terror with 3 dreadnought proxies 😂

I NEED nothing, and these are all barely related, but the discount sticker is tempting....

Here's to a hopeful future with some new strong characters 🤙

Sandbar and Whitetip Reef - Oahu

We were scuba diving down around 65' at a wreck, with about 8 sharks circling us in the evening light, but this bigger Sandbar was gorgeous, and staying juuuust far enough away to make the video rough 😂

I'm sold on a nicer TV finally

If you want/need a cheap TV, I understand. But if you can stretch out of the absolute entry level stuff, man it's worth it.

I'm sitting here watching the new TV and actually love it, I feel like it looks as good as it did in the store (which never happened on the cheapest stuff)

Years ago, bought a Hisense 55" smart TV on sale, and it lived for 6+ years until we moved far away and sold everything. I never loved the image quality (especially blacks and motion), but it was absolutely fine.

Then bought a cheap Samsung 65" at Costco (un65du7200d), like under $500 USD. Again, it was fine, but nothing great.

After 18 months it went dead. Service quick came out and verified a dead panel, so I'm probably getting refunded under warranty (shipping a panel to the island is not worth it)

It happened to die at the end of a sale week, so I checked out what was available to me locally, and after a lot of rush research, picked up a Sony Bravia 5 75" on sale from best buy, and due to the last issue, yeah I paid for a 5 year extended warranty (it was an expense I justified based on situation)

Now I'm sitting here looking at 4k bluray players/PS5 and getting my physical discs back out to really optimize this giant display 😂

Just my opinion, I know the Bravia 5 is still lower end, but man it's a definite improvement and the upscaling is making things look legit good 🤙

I miss my S60's

I am a P2 S60 junkie

but I absolutely hate sedan life for a daily 😂

75" tv, a different kind of hauling for the XC this time

Eventually I'll remove the lift and actually have sport springs, just waiting for tire time

Finally a tiny upgrade to the running watch :D

Just being nostalgic, if my username indicates part of my hobby at all.....

I bought my Fenix 3 (w/ hr strap bundle) when I ran my first marathon and decided to try a 50k, that was July 2016.

I got a refurb warranty replacement in July 2018 as my altimeter was flawed, but since then, I've put my watch through absolute hell. Just this month, the altitude is wonky finally on this one.

Cross country moves, house projects, working on cars, getting smacked around daily life, and thousands of miles in the mountains, all the way to 100+ mile efforts (with a recharge or two of course)

Chewed through a lot of hr straps and sensors over the years, and definitely appreciated having numerous nato straps to swap out (for comfort, variety, and cleanliness)

Decided to upgrade finally, chose the 7x pro solar because I got it ridiculously cheap and it's got everything I want and then some. Will probably put a screen protector on as well as track down some similar bands as I don't expect to be gentle with it.

Also living in a tropical island environment, I may get a little use of the solar part.

(About to drop cash on scuba diving watches for my wife and I, and may end up with a Garmin Descent, but I chose to keep my daily and running watch seperate from my dive computer)

Fingers crossed this one can give me the same lifespan!

Surface Pro 9 and oem keyboard are good enough for normal daily light duty, but I'm about to travel and decided to try and bring the SP9 and 2nd screen (instead of my larger/heavier work laptop and 2nd screen), the caveat is I really benefit from a full size keyboard and 10 key if I'm gonna set up for an 8+ hour workday

Found these travel/foldable keyboards, anyone use similar and have experience? Even if I added a separate 10 key, the surface keyboard is not what I personally call a high productivity layout, functional, but not as ideal as a full size

BTW USB C to mini HDMI works perfectly for a 2nd screen off of the SP, at the moment both devices are as heavy as my laptop alone, so that'll help with the carryon weight
