Airplane Mode on the Kindle won’t extend Libby e-books anymore

"Users in the United States can have Overdrive and Libby e-books delivered directly to a Kindle e-reader. This process has been working for over a decade, and in order to extend a loan period, savvy users would put their device into airplane mode, and the books would stay indefinitely until airplane mode was turned off, and the books would automatically be returned. In a recent software update, this process no longer works."
