You guys think I can get away with having a machine shop do a hone job on this used jug for my 91 zx600c

One of the cylinders on my zx600c is cooked, I'm gonna replace all the rings and probably new pistons aswell as there's a tiny bit of vertical scratching. Other than the far right cylinder being rusty ( some dumbass left it out in the rain with the spark plug out) but it wasn't ran like that and after a full teardown and inspection all the bearing surfaces and rod surfaces look brand new and the lower end miraculously didn't have any water in it

Any advice on this second hand jug I'm looking at on eBay, it doesn't look bad and I think I'll be able to get away with a professional hone.

(I got the bike cheap as hell and I'm not tripping if it blows up)

Well that's a big ol crack in the cylinder

I tore down my 92 zx600c I got for a hundred bucks with water in the far right cylinder and there's a big ol crack in the jug, (I think it might have been me hitting the seized piston out with a 2x4). Miraculously after inspection of the crank and the whole transmission ect there's not any other visible damage or even any rust I think needs to be addressed. I'm gonna get a new jug and rings and possibly new pistons and do a super deep clean and inspection of everything. Then slap er back together and send it.

Any advice?

You guys think she's cooked?

I got this zx600c for 100 bucks with water in the far right cylinder. It had a bit of water in the oil but no debris and I don't believe it was ran like that. All the cam bearing surfaces look good but the far right cylinder has some good pitting. I'll have to completely tear it down and do a full inspection on all surfaces. I know ittl need a new jug and probably a bunch of other stuff but I was just wondering if y'all think it's worth saving. Radiator also has some good rust but I think ittl be fixable with a few really good flushes.

It also remarkably shifts through all 6 gears and with the pistons out turns over by hand rotation.

I'm doing a 600cc i4 sport bike go cart swap.

I'm doing a Yamaha 600 cc inline 4, 6 speed sport bike swap into my old 80s streaker sc7 go cart. So I'll probably be posting a bunch asking random questions. I've gotta get the engine running first though. I'll have to find spots to run and mount all the radiator parts, plus all the wiring harness, battery, gas tank, plus all the random other stuff I'm not thinking of. I'll also need to do a bunch of welding to be able to use the factory engine mounts. I think I'm gonna have to do a jackshaft to get the chain from straight out the back to downward so it can meet the axle. I'll also steal the big two piston hydraulic brakes so I can get crazy stopping power. I'm gonna keep the 530 chain to make sure it can hold up to the tourqe. Big pillow blocks and a 1 1/4 live axle are also a necessity to handle all the 90 horses this engine makes.

Lmk if you've seen anything like this done before or you know anything about These engines.

Lmk if you have done anything similar and if you have any advice for these engines or the swap in general

Cool differential out of my 80s cart

This is the rear differential out of my old streaker sc7 cart. I absolutely love this thing and it makes cornering soooo smooth compared to a live axle. However sometimes it's frustrating because it makes it harder to do donuts.

Anyone know of any good quality belts? All the Amazon ones suck

My original comet 30 series belt lasted for years and still works but is worn down. The Amazon ones work but don't take heat as well and degrade faster. Anyone know of any good quality or beefy belts and where to buy? I'll definitely need some good ones once I swap on my built 15 HP 224 and juggernaut.

Cdi for custom harness

I believe that the black connector on this 250cc liquid cooled 6 speed Chinese motor is compatible with a 5 pin ac cdi. You guys think the kit in the second pic would work or should I use the racing cdi in the fourth pic?

I have a bad idea: yard cart x 700 cc 2 stroke

It's just a thought. But I can get this engine for 300 bucks and I want to know how terrifying this paired with a Polaris cvt would be when the power band hits. Not super familiar with jet skis but decently with snowmobiles. My biggest problems are probably gonna be that I don't know how many rpms this likes to put out. The output shaft to the cvt, and biggest of all I have no idea how the cooling system works. Im assuming it uses the water it's in and Ill have to do a radiator swap. I'm super mechanically inclined and have done a bunch of weird custom engine swaps. Do you think I'm over my head?

Recommended cheap rod for pred 212

The Governor wheel came apart while running and the stock rod bearing surface got super scratched. I was looking around at arc and billet rods but they're all like a hundred bucks. Anyone know of a cheaper rod that's oem quality or slightly better. I don't think predator sells oem rods but if they do somewhere I would love a link.

Recommended mods for a 224 predator hemi

Just got this guy cuz I blew up my 212. I was gonna slap a header and a vm24 on it and do a full governor delete. Might also get a super 30 series driver. Any recommendations for billet rod, billet flywheel, flat top piston hot cam and valve springs. Also is there a way to do a pulse pump without a billet side cover. I could probably just drill and tap some fittings into the existing side cover.

Yamaha raptor swapped yard cart

I'm swapping this raptor 350 6 speed engine from a wrecked quad into one of my streaker sc7 carts. I'm planning on chopping up the frame to weld to the cart so I can re use the factory engine mounts. My biggest problem is probably gonna be the chain. I was planning on using the mount for the 30 series driven pulley as a jackshaft. Engine sprocket to outside sprocket on jackshaft to inside sprocket on jackshaft to drive sprocket on axil. I'll need to take some pics with the old gx200 removed so you can see the torque converter plate better.
