so i finally watched 2007's ghost rider...

i have a question that i was hung up on for the entire movie - why did the devil kill johnnys dad? how did that make any sense?

johnny sells his soul to save him dad > devil saves him then immediately kills him > devil waits 20 years and tells johnny to deliver the contract > johnny screws over the devil by not delivering the contract and keeps the rider curse instead

wouldnt it have been way more effective to just let johnny have a gf and another 20 years with his dad, that way when the devil tells johnny to get the contract and be rid of the curse johnny just does it? he'd have more incentive because 1. he actually would owe him, and 2. he could get rid of the curse and freely live a normal life with his family?

all it would take is "hey remember how i saved your dads life? you still owe me, go get me this contract real quick and we're even" and i feel like theres a wayyyy better chance johnny would do it

idk how screwing over johnny and killing his dad would NOT come back to bite him in the ass later, which it did, especially after another rider already got the contract and refused to hand it over

am i missing something or is the devil just a moron who does evil things just to be evil even if it's strategically moronic?

Will this bubble flare seal?

Basically a shop made this line for me, I asked them to put a flare on a section of old steel line but came back to find they just made a new section instead. Honestly I was fine with that and totally understood, but it looks like the tech cut off the old flare and damaged the line nut which he reused. I understand the seal is made at the flare and not the nut but will this affect how the pressure to the flare is applied causing it to not seal, or am I worried about nothing?

Does the flare itself look okay? Looks good to me but I don't do bubble flares ever so a second opinion would be appreciated.

Last 2 pics are of the other flare which I'm more confident in but if you see an issue let me know. The other side was supposed to be an inverted flare but the tech put two bubbles on (yes he put a bubble in front of the provided inverted flare nut despite me even saying it was supposed to be an inverted flare on that end). I cut off his bubble and flared that end myself.

2016 Subaru Legacy 2.5i

I posted a used muffler on FB marketplace but I always list everything for sale or trade. Someone offered me a spoiler from a 2010+ish Lancer and by some miracle it measured up really well to the Legacy. I used to do auto body so I decided to throw some paint on it and see how it actually looked and immediately loved it.

Two weeks ago if you asked me I'd have told you "I'd *never* put a spoiler on that car" but... here we are. Zero regrets.

Hope you guys enjoy it too
