Ladybugs

Is anyone else finding tons of ladybugs in their house? My parents, the lady who cuts my hair and me are finding way more than normal. I just found a bunch clustered up way up in a hard to reach corner. My trusty bu-a-salt makes short work of them but it's still very odd

Solutions for night terrors

Hello, I was curious as to what steps I can take to help with whatever is wrong with me, whether that's therapy or a doctor or whatever.

Essentially I wake up screaming, punching, kicking multiple times a week. I also experience sleep paralysis sans the paralysis a few times a year. The same old lady always appears when I wake up but instead of being stuck I tend to fly out of bed trying to get her. I shot for a double leg takedown once and screwed my neck up from hitting the closet door and I punched the bedroom door a few times.

Last night my wife woke up to me looming over her and when she said WTF I rolled over and went right to sleep. I have no memory of this.

If I get woken up unexpectedly I usually come out swinging before I know what's happening. We have a toddler and I do not want to be this way anymore but I have no idea where to even start. Thanks

How to parent yourself out of your son

Basically the title. I was a little hoodlum despite having a great childhood, my dad was the same and I can already see the signs in my 2 year old.

I just don't want him going down the same path of alcohol, drugs, loose women, fast cars and fighting like my dad and I both went through. We ended up being normal guys with great careers but I almost died dozens of times and cannot figure out how to make sure my boy keeps it between the lines without also turning him into a Ned Flanders.

Surviving harsh winters

Hello, I received a 2.5 year old juniper in a nice clay pot. Keeping it outside is fine for half the year, but I'm concerned about keeping it alive and well over the winter, we frequently see temperatures between -35 and -50c.

I do have a green house and was thinking of placing it in a larger plastic pot or bucket and burying it in bark up to the trunk. if this is stupid please let me know along with any advice, thanks.

Question about fertilizing

Hello. I'm a beginner and have a 2.5 year old juniper procumbens nana. This fertilizer came with the tree but the instructions are pretty generalized. I was wondering how often and how much fertilizer to apply. As seen it does say how much water to dilute it with but a full 500ml seems like a lot for a tree this size. Thanks!

ELI5 how can antimatter exist?

It was always science fiction and all of a sudden they're putting it onto a truck and transporting it, how can it exist? I can't wrap my head around it

Replacement remote issues

Does anyone know how to get this thing to actually connect to the TV? It claims to be compatible with all Hisense smart TVs but it came with no instructions on how to set it up. I've been holding down random combinations of buttons and nothing seems to work. There's also no LED indicator like on every one of the remotes I've seen on YouTube.

Thanks for the help

Yagi measurements

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had a quick rule of thumb for the distance between and length of the reflector and director for a homemade Yagi, I've found plenty of plans online to make one but I'm more curious why they're the specific length they are and as well as why their spacing from the driven element is what it is. Thank you

Dirtbag antenna

I just wanted to share a small victory, but I made this out of actual garbage and it works really well. I'm picking up traffic from about 10km out with garbage and a baofeng and I think that's pretty neat.

Hello, I just installed a new toilet and while hand tightening the plastic nut on the toilet seat, a small chip came off the underside of the seat bolt hole. There's no crack, just a chip on the lip where the nut goes in.I was wondering how fatal this is to the toilet and if it's easily repaired, thanks
