Best Sandler / Barrymore movie
There was a time I’d have told you Wedding singer or 50
First dates. I mean how could it be Blended? So silly and cheesy.
Sure enough, I’ll happily say Blended now.
Under the silly humor is a great family drama of a man dealing with the heartache of losing his one and only and trying to stay strong for his daughters. How the girls need that mother figure in their lives. Also Barrymore dealing with the betrayal and lashing out at her son’s “interests” because she obviously was hurt by a selfish man and she doesn’t understand boys, and their energy and their anger. Watching the families commingle and see how they needed that mother/father figure is powerful to watch. I love it and cry Everytime. I’m a sucker. lol
While the other 2 are good, I’ll edge 50 first dates has the better emotional payoff of those 2.
I guess being a married father changes it.

Obsession Oscar recognition
Do you think Obsession will get any Oscar recognition? Director, actress? I feel like it has to get some nomination. But it’s the Oscars who don’t give horror their due. I thought Sinners was gonna sweep the Oscar’s last year.

Kings of the weekend residency
One of my favorite items in my blink-182 collection. An official Palms casino blink-182 $5 poker chip that had been used. I was able to snag one when I saw them when they were doing their residency at the palms casino back in 2018. Wasn’t sure how to display it so I made this collage with the ticket and some pictures I took.
