Sigh - Scarlet Dream (Japan, 2001)
These guys flew under my radar for too long. They have a very avant-garde style psychedelic black metal that I haven't found anywhere else. This song is amazing, but the entire album is full of sick riffs that make you want to chant along with the vocalist. I am still mid way through listening to their discography, but I'm loving how they change their style between albums. Heavily recommend this to anyone who wants a great unique album. Any one have other bands that are like a breath of fresh air in their genre?
Are AI Music Videos dead?
Youtube has been flagging channels for having inauthentic content recently. I hear a lot of people here say they are also targeting fully ai generated content too. As far as I'm aware, videos that are completely Suno audio with fully AI generated visuals clipped together are not safe.
The thing is, I really enjoy making AI music videos and have a hard time believing there is no place for them in this world. Out of all the AI generated content out there, AI music videos have a lot of heart in them. You can see the artist in the lyrics they write, the clips they use to represent lines in the song, and how they clip together the video to tell a story. I've even seen some creative style changes and people use their own face for the main character sometimes. People put a lot of themselves in their content.
There is not a lot of demand for AI music video. People don't even care for non-AI music videos unless they already like the song. I know its a losing battle either way, but channels exist that pulled 50k to millions of views per video. (Before last week of course, now they get barely 1k)
Lastly, and my reason for posting this, is there any path forward? Would using a DAW and modifying the audio work? how about real images that have AI video between them? What about just having a lot of short 3s - 5s clips instead of longer ones work? what about a real song with AI visuals? Or is it time to put the sword in the sand and walk away?
This is my favorite one I made so far. I tend to write the lyrics for the song without considering how it will translate to a music video. I was a little worried when I realized I made a setting with a tower and a spiraling staircase around it. I had no faith that I could make it work with the technology and skills I currently have. I think I made something pretty cool though, and I'm excited to see what I can come up with and create next.
