Website for survivors of church hurt.

Your story could help someone feel less alone.
AfterTheChurch.com is a space for people who have experienced abuse, manipulation, discrimination, coercive control, financial exploitation, or other forms of harm in church environments.
We’re currently looking for survivors and former church members who are willing to share their experiences.
Your story doesn’t have to be extreme or perfectly written. If it affected you, it matters.
By sharing, you could help someone recognise what they’re going through, realise they’re not alone, or find the courage to seek help.
You decide what to share, and anonymous options are available if you want to protect your identity or the name of the church.
No pressure to forgive. No pressure to return to religion or leave it.
Your experience. Your voice. Your story.
Share yours at AfterTheChurch.com.
Someone out there may need to read exactly what you have to say.
Thank you 🙏

‘I Was Given a Script to Pretend I Was Healed’ - Former Healing Streams Survivor Speaks Out

Students, please be aware.

This group will be recruiting on university campuses under the names Believers’ Loveworld (BLW), Loveworld, or Christ Embassy.

Please be careful. If you notice a friend becoming involved, don’t ignore the warning signs. Stay in touch with them, encourage them to think critically, and let them know they’re not alone if they ever want to leave.

The woman in this video is a survivor of Healing Streams, a healing event led by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome the leader of that cult. She describes how she came to believe she had been healed when she was not.
Many former members and families have shared accounts of people delaying or abandoning medical treatment because they believed they had already been healed. Others describe losing their savings, their faith, or both while pursuing promised miracles.

These are not just theological disagreements they can have life changing consequences. Many have ended up in mental health wards or dead.

University students are often targeted because they are away from home, looking for community, purpose, and belonging. There is nothing wrong with searching for faith or meaning, but no one should be pressured into believing they are healed, giving beyond their means, or ignoring medical advice.

Please stay informed, ask difficult questions, and look out for one another. Sometimes the most important thing you can do is help a friend before they become deeply involved.

What are your views on the rapture doctrine?🤔 I saw this post about pastor Christ oyakhilome calculating the time when the rapture will be and it made me think of how they use the rapture or end times on Christianity to control people..
