Does it look as if the world doesn’t make sense anymore?

I don’t know what is happening, it seems nothing matters anymore.

You work hard and get up to the next level on the career ladder, and then what?

Friends are not friends anymore. There are many things you don’t agree with them on, and conversations might easily heat up.

Almost every day there is a pain somewhere in some of the parts of your body.

It is very hard to please people around you and why bother about it at all?

How do you feel MenOver40?

Is there anything left exciting?

How to educate myself on anatomy of back and muscles of back?

I've been dealing with on-and-off lower back pain (more that 10 years now) and I'm tired of just guessing what's going on. I want to actually understand the anatomy of my back the muscles, what they do, how they connect, and what might be causing the pain.

For those who've been down this road:

  • What resources helped you learn back anatomy as a beginner? (books, YouTube channels, apps, anything)
  • How did you figure out what was actually causing your pain vs. just treating symptoms?

My situation:

I have a сentral disc herniations at L4-L5 and L5-S1 for all these years, however, it botherded me once a year, and generally it was managable.

However, for the last couple of years I became very sensable for a cold. Especially my legs. A cold floor during the summer feels like if I am on an ice. So I always wear some type of shoes.

And recently, first time in May I got sudden pain on the lower back, and overnight I become left leaned. I think it is muscles.

And surprisingly ibuprofed, diclofenact and etc really helps. It takes couple of days to stay on bed, with minimum movements, but any anti-inflammatory drug really helps.

So, now I want to aducate myself, manage the back and backpain.
Thanks.

Access to another companies services? How to organize?

We are in a campus where there are let's say two companies. Both of them use Entra ID for identity. Now, company A provides some services to staff of Company B. However, in Company B we want to keep it one single portal where staff can submit requests/incidents, and based on type of the service, route those requests/incidents to Company A's SN instance for further processing. I think it is going to be a challenging task, if it is possible at all. What do you think?

Lost five days of lab work, is there anyway to restore it?

I've been doing this ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals LabX for the last five days, and so far really learning a lot. Just now learned that my instance is terminated. Now, if I understand it correctly, I've lost all the changes. Is there any way to restore the inctance?

Additional columns to existing tables, is this ok?

So, turns out I can add additional columns to existing tables. For example I just added new column to the incident table. Is this ok? I mean usually other systems somehow doesn't recomend to change table schema, however, SN seems to be ok with this. (I am new to SN, hence the question. ) How about deleting columns on existing tables?

My body is leftward inclined now. What to do?

I am living with herniated disc for about 15 years. So far it is ok, there were times when I had pain everyday, however, for the last 5-6 years it is ok. Probably because I've changed the country and with that my lifestyle also changed. Anyway, on Monday I had like 4-5 out of 10 pain in my lower back. I thought that is because I went out on Sunday evening and sit outside and had a beer so probably got cold. That happens with me. However, on Tuesday morning right after shower (I get very hot shower always, on that day it was maximum hot water) I felt imidiate tightness on my lower back. Especially on the right side. When I touch my back it feels like a wood. There is no much pain, I would say 2-3 out of 10. However, I can't stand stright. It is uncomfortable. And now, this morning looking at mirror I see that my body is inclined to the left. I am like a tree leftward inclined. Not much pain, however, still can't stand stright and leftward inclined. So what to do and which doctor to see? Apperantly I don't want to stay like that for forever. Thanks.

Looking for plugin that can show daily random affirmations.

So, basically I thought it will be good to have a plugin that can show random quotes/affirmations on top of a home page. The idea is that I take notes of thoughts and ideas and then I need revisit them time to time. Is there any plugin that can do this?

Am I the person I think I am, or the person others see?

I often feel like others see me differently than how I see myself. For example, colleagues and friends give me advice based on assumptions about what’s best for me, and it makes me wonder: Do they really see me that way? Which version of me is the real one their perception or my own?

Genuine question — is anyone else getting the vibe that another round of cuts is coming?

Many agencies already went through one (or two) round of layoffs earlier, and while things stabilized for a bit, I'm starting to wonder if we're heading into another one. So the question is, do you know if an agency where you are woking is going to cut more positions?

UN is not in its best now, however, in your organization what personal qualities help people moved up quickly? Not just the ones who were technically skilled, but the ones who seemed to accelerate their careers — what was it about them? Was it how they communicated? The way they handled pressure or setbacks? How they built relationships? Something harder to define?

I'm not asking about credentials (sometimes it seems as if skills doesn't matter :) ) or luck more the personal qualities and behaviors that, in your experience, seem to separate the ones who advance fast.

I am someone who is coming from traditional IT background, where you have datacenters, switches, servers and etc. Now, since SN is SaaS, what does admins do? I am sure there are plenty of tasks, it is just me who doesn't know about them. Hence the quesiton. Thanks.
