Slab built snack plates

Hi! Reasonably new to pottery, and really fancy making some of these. I wondered how they're likely made?

I was thinking perhaps slab rolled and then smoothed up on the edges to create the lip? But not sure how the compartments are made - coils? Or rectangular pieces cut off a slab? Sorry if stupid question! I have seen some that look like they were created from a block and then carved out, but that seems like a lot of work and a bit of a waste?

I think my irritation was caused by toilet paper!

Sooooo I still think I'm in peri due to the sudden onset in December of 3am waking. I haven't really had any other symptoms I can think of, besides a few months ago I started feeling irritated down below. Not itchy, not pain. Almost like a hybrid of the two, around my urethra and vaginal opening areas. No UTI type symptoms and nothing else to note.

Went to see the practice nurse and got E cream. After using for a month + there's no change, and something told me it could be toilet paper related (remember reading on here about people saying Costco tp was an issue for them - I'm using one from Sainsbury's supermarket) - not least that I never really noticed it in the morning but definitely noticeable as the day goes on. Even to the point where I could feel it sat down!

So yesterday I was looking through our store cupboard and saw we had a different brand tp from a while ago so swapped out the Sainsbury's one for this one, and although it's only 1 day in I swear I feel fine down below!

Keeping my fingers crossed this is not a placebo effect 😂

Thought it might be worth sharing with the sub ☺️

Hey plant gang.

My aunt has just had a massive operation and is recovering at home and a bit miserable. I wanted to send a nice little gift (I have some other gifts planned like fancy PJ's etc.), she's not a fan of cut flowers, and I thought a houseplant might be a nice idea.

I know she likes plants (indoors and outdoors), she's always telling me about her avocado plants she's growing etc.

I thought maybe some unusual or exotic plant she might not think to buy for herself? She is in London and lives in a basement flat so there's not huge amounts of light indoors (apart from the kitchen if I recall correctly).

Thank you!!

Specifically Pittenweem?

**Mods please delete if not allowed but hopefully it is permitted!**

I'm a Fife resident and university student undertaking a small environmental science project, part of which is looking at the relationship between access to and connection to nature at Pittenweem tidal pool. It's a very short survey of 3 open-ended questions.

I would love to hear people's thoughts if anyone is willing to share? I will share the Google Forms survey link for anyone interested in taking part. Just a few mins of your time!

Thank you very much ☺️

Ignore the socks lol. I'm normally a 6 1/2 or 7. These are a 6 1/2 and I dunno they feel big? My heel is slipping at the back! Would you size down to a 6?

I'm new to plunging (only had my tub and chiller 2 weeks) but not new to cold water (live in Scotland and swim in the sea and lochs all year round) and I'm always thinking about when I can get in again! I've been doing it in the mornings after a workout (and a shower) and it really does set me up for the day! But lately I've been thinking about getting in again in the evening. Anyone else??

Lads settle something for me will you? I'm not going mad when I say that there's a difference in these teabags? First 2 pics the old bag is at the top, compared with the new bags below - the new ones are more perforated and I swear this shit tastes different. Close up of new bags in pic 3 and old bag in pic 4.

Please help. This is important (it's tea).

For reference the new bags were bought in the Uk. Black market tea bags maybe??

Used 5% topical twice daily for 10 months and despite having the dread shed, never saw any regrowth so I have now switched to oral. Is it worth still applying topical, as I have seen some mention that they still do?

The weird doughnut/hole under my chin? I've literally just noticed this and I feel sick. I'm 42 and skin is good otherwise (I think) 😭

Never owned a rice cooker before but we have been debating it for a while. We were wondering if the Yum Asia Panda Mini will work for 2 people if we also fancy chucking in some veggies and even trying one pot meals (adding some protein)? We try not to have huge portions of food, so think we'd likely only be using 1-1.5 cups of rice for the both of us.

Do you think this cooker will do the job? We don't want to get a huge/family one as we don't really have the counter space - plus think it might be overkill. Thoughts/opinions?

TYSM!
