Updated, what do we think?

I’ve stared at this for so long at this point I can’t tell if I’m closer or farther away from the goal

I just found five larvae in my enclosure when I was rescaping, I know it’s extremely rare to successfully raise one in captivity and it’s hard to find information online on what to do.

I have the each in their own cups with the same soil they were found in, I gave them each an Axolotl pellet and sliced baby carrot with almond leaves on top, then I set them on the heat mat next to my Dubai roaches that is set to 80, is this a bad idea?

Please any advice would be extremely helpful!

This is Susu, she 8 years old

Yesterday I noticed her left eye was suddenly white. She doesn’t react to movement on her left side, but still reacts on her right side. She is still eating normally

Water test results:

PH: 7.6

High PH: 7.5

Ammonia: 0ppm

Nitrite: 0ppm

Nitrate: 10ppm (?)

She’s in a 40g breeder, water sits around 65-68

I also swapped the light in the last picture for a much smaller one weeks ago, and it is on for 6 hours a day

She is currently tubbed in fresh dechlorinated water, with a small airstone, two Indians almond leaves and a small frozen bottle to keep it cool.

I attached photos of the nitrate to confirm that it is 10ppm and not 20ppm, and also a photo of her tank.

Does this look to be like an issue caused by the high nitrates? And does anyone know whether or not this looks fungal, or like cataracts?

Thank you for any advice/input
