flat, paved running routes?

hello!

I just moved to town a month or so ago and I am looking for some flat, paved running routes. I’ve been using the Grant Creek Trail so far but the first couple of miles are a couple hundred feet of elevation. I’d like to get back to incorporating some speed work which is just really tough to do on a hillier route.

If anyone has any suggestions for a flatter route, ideally at least a few miles long, that would be awesome!!

LR-4 for two weeks and not impressed. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

I purchased the LR-4 two weeks ago for my two male cats age 4 & 6. Both boys were neutered before they ever knew they were boys, and we have never, ever had potty issues.

I purchased the LR specifically because I just moved halfway across the country, and am about to leave for a two-week business trip with litter being my biggest concern. For context, I am actively meeting with sitters to find a good fit for someone to drop in on them once a day, they will not be unattended for two weeks. But, in the event that my Rover has an emergency, can’t make it for a day, etc I have no backup here and wanted to be sure they’d always have clean litter. They’ve been used to gravity food and water for years and I also installed a pet camera.

Now to the LR … I am not impressed and I’m very anxious about leaving. I have moved my younger cat five times in his life, and my older cat six. I have taken them into hotels, on long car rides, all the things. They have NEVER pottied on the floor. All of a sudden the other day, one of them peed in their toy box after I had thought they were both using the LR, despite my older one clearly being terrified. Also, I woke up this morning, and this thing has just disconnected in the middle of the night and had to be re-connected to WiFi first thing in the morning, without the internet ever going out. What am I supposed to do about that if I’m halfway across the country? It’s not like I can give my rover access to my app to reconnect it if it fails.

And, the weight tracking. I know my boys are nearly identical weights, but for $850, we can’t come up with a way to differentiate cats so that I can get some value out of what should be one of its best features - making sure both boys are pottying on a regular schedule?

I don’t know. Maybe I’m just expecting too much, but this thing was $850 and I expect to be able to 100% rely on it at that price point. At this point I’m planning to just leave two regular boxes out for the rover to scoop as well when I’m gone, which really just defeats the purpose of having the LR, but I’m terrified of it not working and my cats having problems when I leave. Suggestions welcome!

Idaho Falls vs Bozeman?

Hello, r/Bozeman!

I just completed a final round interview for a job covering a large sales territory including SE Idaho (to Twin Falls) as far north as Helena, and as far east as Billings. This a field-based role and the targets are split 50/50 between the Idaho and Montana portions of the territory, meaning I have free rein to live anywhere within territory bounds.

If offered the job, I would most strongly be considering Idaho Falls or Bozeman. I am from the flat, boring Midwest and am relocating because I want to be closer to the things I love to do - hiking, skiing, etc.

For what it’s worth - 25F, single (definitely interested in knowing the dating scene)
