I take it Marvel should do a proper redemption for Wanda without it feeling desperate

Now how do I write this. As someone who's a fan of Wanda, I wasn't a fan of the way they wrote her in Multiverse of Madness. Turning her into a psycho right after she had such a wonderful character development in WandaVision was just uncalled for, stripping her layers that made her interesting by using a flavorless explanation like the Darkhold just doesn't work at all. Not only does it negate any character development she had, but I feel like it also rots any chance for Wanda to have a proper redemption/or further character development after MoM.

Maybe I'm probably too pessimistic I know. But I just cant see how Wanda's character can flourish (or atleast in a multidimensional way) after it had such a damaging movie like MoM ruin any complexities with her character, essentially rendering her into an empty husk of her character. At this point, it all comes down to how Marvel can handle her. Maybe I'm too naggy but it can't simply be an empty word-for-word explanation that it was the darkhold because expositions like that don't have emotional weight and it would just be barfing empty sludge. (I get it, I'm too dramatic 😂😭) Although, I wouldn't be too surprised if Marvel doesn't acknowledge that movie or deal with it in a lackluster way that kind of ruins her character further because they've shown that Wanda doesn't seem to be their favorite, killing her off after WandaVision which was a huge success for her character.

Alright, final statement. I genuinely feel its much safer for Marvel to just never acknowledge MoM as a movie or mention it at all, or even decanonize it because it was such a damaging thing for Wanda's character that it kind of soured the character aswell, like her iteration will only be seen as this empty husk of a psychopathic villain without any layers. I think its better if Marvel just disregards Multiverse of Madness and doesn't give her a redemption arc for that and just continue the arc that was set up in WandaVision.

"maybe I'm too woke"

I see this on Twitter and sometimes outside of it, but people always say "maybe I'm too woke" then proceed to say a rational take that doesn't mean you have be too woke to say it, it just means you're decent person. I feel like people just say that because they're too cowardly to speak up or just use it as a trend, because they constantly always use it as if they're just being trendy or they don't care about the thing they're about to say.

Are these people just baiting or is there a genuine severe lack of media literacy?

Almost every tweet I see constantly asks redundant questions like "W-what actually killed Bobby?" or "did Mary turn into Still Life". Its either annoying trolling/baiting or genuine lack of media literacy. Like did these people watch the movie with their eyes closed or just have poor media comprehension?

Wide Clark

Clark is wide, he is the widest of the Clarks. He widens himself, he widens his anger, he is the wideness that hides beneath our trembling shapes and sizes. His wideness brings wide peace to the widest world of all widest goods. Again, Clark is wide, WIDE, WIDEEE

Did anyone have a heart attack when this happened?

I jumped when that cupboard door fell on her, because I assumed it was gonna make Mary lose her balance and fall into the pit. Kane genuinely knows how to craft a scene with such fear and anxiety, KUDOS to his direction and the acting Renate does in this scene

This scene somehow went over the heads of people

I kid you not I saw the comment section of a video about this scene and people were calling it weird, they took it unironically. DUDES, that was the whole point, like did y’all not hear She Hulk complain about how weird this was and broke the fourth wall to fix it? This is a problem consisting of media illiteracy and misogyny. Like they made it so simple in this scene yet somehow y’all missed it, either because you people were hate watching it with your illiteracy, or looking at your phones while watching the episode.

UPDATE: Some of the comments really are proving my point. If y’all don’t wanna accept the meaning of this scene and whine about it, then dont partake in media discussion like this again!
