Does lowering dose stall progress?

Talked to my doctor yesterday about lowering my dose from 1mg to 0.5mg because I've gotten pretty bad acid reflux that's been making my anxiety go crazy. He told me it would stall my weight loss progress if I go down and prescribed me some esomeprazole.

I looked into it and am just scared to start a new drug that may not be good for me just to treat the symptom of another. I didn't have the reflux issue until 1mg and now I can only eat around 1500 calories in a day due to fullness. I know weight loss is the ultimate goal but I feel like my daily life is not improving as I just fight through it all.

Has anyone still had success on the lower doses? I'm losing my mind here not being heard. I don't want to take my next dose.

Anyone Have Success With Symptom Relief After Lowering Dose?

Hello everyone, just was curious to know if anyone has success with symptoms when reducing their dose. My body pretty much got used to the tummy troubles but once I started taking 1mg about 6 weeks ago, I have had really bad acid reflux. I spoke to my doctor about it because I've never had it in the past and came in with worries of chest pain. After being checked we chalked it up to reflux and he advised I watch what I eat (some foods make it worse), smaller meals, the usual stuff associated with slow stomach emptying that I already know. It made sense so I didnt press.

Unfortunatley, as I go on, I feel like its gotten worse. After every meal I feel the creeping feeling that leads to chest discomfort (its not a sharp pain but its enough that it really triggers my health anxiety.) Its been the worst this week. Somehow, even knowing what it is doesnt help and my mind always puts me in a weird place. I took a single bite of food for dinner and felt like I had an anxiety attack and started crying. I work with a dietician and I simply cant meet her expectations for protein and calories in a day and I have been physically forcing myself (maybe causing me to feel worse) to get to around 1700 average. All of it is driving me crazy and its just been hard navigating as food used to bring me joy and I feel like its slowly starting to cause me fear. I dont want to develop that bad feeling. I'm working hard to make good food choices but I've been struggling.

Smaller meals, walking afterwards, staying hydrated, I'm doing my best and yes those things really help but the feeling persists. Its affecting my daily life/work because my mind is always hyper focused on it until the feeling goes away.

I made an appointment to follow up with my doctor next week and hopefully he will agree to lower my dose back to 0.5. I know its best to talk with my PCP about this, but I also just want to hear from people who have been there. Just wondering if anyone else has had success with this or is this just something I need to learn to deal with? I'm on Ozempic for weightloss but also to help manage my T2D and my doctor was very happy with my blood work last time I saw him. I intended to ask him to lower my dose then but I was so proud I decided to just power through it. But I'm tired of it x.x

I researched over the counter medicine options to help with the reflux but they only seem to be short term relief or I need to be careful cause they block absorption of other meds. Some even say to consult a doctor first so I feel stuck. Thanks to anyone who read all this and has any advice. :)

Thigh Tingling When Walking Normal While Overweight?

Edit: Thank you to everyone who replied. I decided to let my doctor know just in case!

~~~
Sorry if this is a silly question, but I am a large person, sitting just above 400 lbs and I recently started my weight loss journey. I try not to be weird about every little thing but I can't help my health anxiety sometimes.
I noticed this past week that my thighs started to tingle and hurt a little bit into my walks. For context, I went from very sedentary to aiming for a minimum of 3 and hopefully around 4k steps a day (I do this in 15-minute increments throughout the day to break up my desk time during work.). Is this just normal because my legs are not used to the movement, or is it something I should bring up with my doctor? I do take atorvastatin which I understand a side effect can be some muscle tenderness. I hate Googling things because somehow it always leads to the worst thing possible lol
I would also like tips/reccomedations for exercises that are low impact when my legs feel weak but I still want to get my heart pumping a little. I dont want to give up walking because I know its a really good place to start, just trying to not be anxious about every new ache and pain I get and get some variety just in case im pushing my legs too hard all of a sudden. Thank you all in advance for reading.
Discord Support Group?
Hello everyone, I'm a bit new to this server so I apologize if this has been mentioned before. I just noticed now and then that there are people here who are looking for weight loss or accountability buddies and such, and I would love some as well! I recently started my health journey three months ago and would love to be in a group of people who are all working together to improve themselves. I noticed there is a pinned post with a Discord Support Group but the links are expired/invalid. Is there an active discord community right now where newer people can join? Please direct me if so, and thank you!
31 F4A in North Houston
Hi everyone 👋 I felt brave so I wanted to make a post and put myself out there a little. I'm currently going through a lifestyle change type of journey that involves getting healthier mentally and physically. I've been living in Houston for years (North near Spring) and never really took the time to make friends and have genuine connections with people. I'm looking to make friends around my age who like nerdy things like anime, gaming, collecting things, reading and listening to music, the regular stuff. I would really love to make friends with people near me but I'm open to maybe talking on discord, so bonus if you are a part of an active community I could be a part of. Recently I've been looking for different book clubs or board gaming clubs but I've had little luck due to my work schedule, (off Sundays and Mondays) as I'd really love to get into that. I'm not really a drinker or clubber, but I've really been lonely lately so I just want to meet people to get to know, potentially hang out with or even just chat online during the day. Not sure what else to add but please feel free to DM me, thanks!
Tips on how to get enough Calories in a Day
Hello everyone, first time posting here. I just wanted some tips or advice from those on GLP1s who have had trouble eating enough in a day. I'm currently on 1MG weekly and sometimes it feels like I cant get much down. I'm very overweight and new to all this, currently looking for a dietician/nutritionist, but until then just hoping to get some advice. It all feels overwhelming and complicated with TDEEs and worrying about malnutrition. I'm around 400lbs so in theory I need a ton of calories to live but I can barely get 2000. Any tips will help or next week when I see my doc again I might have to ask for a lower dose. Side effects are rough but manageable, its mainly just making sure I eat enough when I always feel full or dont feel like eating. Thanks in advance!
