It looks like there is drama brewing between these two. On Ron's live stream today (which is still live so I can't give a time stamp) he shows a clip of a FuntobeFree recent stream in which, I guess but didn't fully understand, FTBF is calling out other streamers like Ron. There was lots of discussion of the drama in Ron's chat and Ron talks more about the drama after he does a ride. I don't know all the details but just thought I would make a post here to make a record of this drama.

My DH and I have about 100K at Open Bank but just saw that Elevault is offering 4.34% while Open is at 3.8%. After doing some research, it looks like it will be difficult to move the 100K over to Elevault from Open due to Elevault's 2,500 push/pull restrictions. I have an email out to Elevault support asking them if there is a better way to fund the account.

While I am waiting on their response, does anyone have opinions on this? Is it worth it for us to change HYSAs for the better rate?

I saw a post in a Germany related subreddit asking if it’s appropriate or expected to greet a room of people when entering a waiting room like at a medical office. The consensus was yes, this should done in small waiting rooms.

I’m American and in a friendly state and have never seen anyone do this before. This is not standard American practice, correct?

I ordered an ipPhone 16e from AT&T a week ago and the ship date has been delayed. What would cause a delay in shipping this phone? I ordered a 16e in April and it shipped immediately. I am wondering if AT&T is having trouble finding a new 16e to ship?

My DH will be the only beneficiary of income earned by an estate that earns about $5k a year in O&G royalties in state X. He resides in state Y which has no state income tax. State X has state income tax. The estate will issue a K-1 to my DH every year since the estate passes 100% of these earnings on to DH. I know we need to report and pay federal income tax on this K-1 but what about state X? Do we owe any tax to state X and if not, do we even need to file anything in state X?

I have a couple of questions.

1. Why, in line 7a on the 1040, capital gains (losses) are included in Taxable income (line 15) when they are taxed at a different rate than regular income? I see that Qualified dividends are not included in taxable income but LT cap g/l appear to be included.
2. I use Turbo Tax (TT) so I can't see how line 16 (Tax) is fully calculated. I do see a Schedule D Tax worksheet where ord. dividends and LT capital g/l tax is calculated with the lower rates.

I guess I don't understand how TT arrives at line 16. I don't see a TT worksheet that calculates this line. Does TT back out the LT capital gain/loss from taxable income before applying the tax brackets to calculate the tax owed and then add back in the ord. dividend and LT cap g/l tax owed from the Sch. D tax worksheet?

Has anyone taken Gabapentin before bed and found it may help reduce your bruxism? I was prescribed Gaba by my neurologist. I take 200 mg before bed (very low dose) about twice a week and I think it helps with my bruxism. I don't wake up with sore teeth, jaw or headache. I also sleep like a log while on it. My ear issues are also better in the morning after I take it (I have Middle Ear Myoclonus which causes tinnitus). I do wear a nightguard.

I am aware of the downsides of Gaba so that is why I am taking a very low dose and only taking it twice a week. I would love to take it everyday because I don't think my jaw, teeth and ears will fully recover until the nighttime bruxism stops but I do not want to build tolerance and physical dependence on Gaba.

I am probably missing something obvious but so far I can't figure it out.

I have a simple estate tax return every year that I hire a CPA to prepare and file. A federal and state (not my state of residence) return as well as a K-1 is required. I would like to try and prepare these documents myself going forward. I have used TurboTax online for my individual return for years. I do not live in a state with income tax and know very little about estate taxes.

I purchased and downloaded the TurboTax business 2025 edition to see if I could duplicate the return and documents prepared by my CPA. I have zero knowledge of the software. I entered all the data as requested by the program, including the state return (which I purchased). When I went to actually save the documents to a PDF or print, no file was created. The program just says "no file found". I ran a error check on both fed. and state returns multiple times and everything cleared with no issues. I logged off the program and when I logged back in the next day, nothing I had entered was saved.

I must be missing something obvious here. What am I doing wrong?

MPM recently made some posts complaining about how boring Epcot is in the summer. What a pitiful, sad person she is. She is constantly making posts about how she spreads joy with her smile and posts but all she really spreads is shit. She constantly spews bitterness on her social media by putting down cast members, other guests, her own followers, the state of Florida's food and music offerings and WDW in general.

The only time my son and I can make it to WDW is in the summer due to his school schedule and to avoid big crowds (he has special needs). We have been anticipating our summer trip for more half a year now. We know it will be hot and rainy but we can't come at any other time. For MPM to sit there complaining about Epcot being boring in the summer is so disgusting to me. I bet you would you tell my son to his face that Epcot is boring in the summer and to come at another time. You are a sad, sad person.

Does anyone’s teeth hurt when they are exposed to loud sounds that bother their ears? I can literally feel some sounds in my teeth.

I am trying to make this a general question and not specific to my DH and my situation.

I'm a new user and just running some retirement scenarios in the model. The model gives a much better "retirement savings to need" % if we retire in one year versus 10 yrs (so at 55 years old instead of 65). This seems crazy to us. When I asked the chat why it thinks this when we would be losing out on 10 yrs of work income, 401K contributions etc, the chat said we will be spending less not working.

I did ask the chat if it takes into account that we would have to pay for our own health insurance if retiring at 55 yrs old before Medicare kicks in. The model does not take this into account. Also, in our particular case, we would not be spending less now than at retirement because we still have children that we completely support financially.

Has anyone else gotten results like this. Does the model's logic make sense to you?
