Is my forehead just big or am I balding?

Hey guys,

I’m a 19 year old white male who is a bit concerned about his hairline (widows peak).

My whole life I’ve had a pretty big forehead, but I’m getting concerned now, as when my dad was my age he was beginning to lose hair. However my mother and her side done experience hair loss.

Based on these photos would you guys say I’m showing signs of a receding hairline or just a natural big forehead?

What’s the best metal deck in standard?

I’m really scratching an itch to make a metal deck for locals, is there anyway decks in the competitive scene that have been using metal types? And if so, can someone explain the game plan of it to me?

Is there anyway to make Doublade not a glass cannon?

I really love the idea of making a deck all around Doublade. Obviously we have some decent tutors and metal type support for him to actually work pretty consistently, but one thing I keep hearing is how much of a glass cannon the deck is.

Because of the hand distribution in standard rn the deck is very 50/50. But I really want to make this work, what cards or ideas do you guys have to combat this?

Best cards for Black Panther Midrange?

Hey guys, so I’m wanting to build a \[\[T’Challa, the Black Panther\]\] deck. The issue is that the main list runs it a bit more as a simple artifact voltron style list. While I like the idea of a midrange value shell for him.

The idea is that it’s some cards that want you to make artifacts or trigger whenever you make or cast one. So whenever you attack you get some simple value.

Obviously there’s gonna be some equipment there with the nature of the commander, but I would really prefer a more midrange, synergy based deck to a aggro solely Voltron one. What cards would you recommend I add to the deck to do this?

Is the Lucario league deck a good way to get into competitive Pokémon?

Essentially the question above. I really want to get into Pokémon and this deck seems to contain a lot of staples I’d need as well getting me used to the game and meta play style? Is this a good pickup? Or is there a better precon to get into competitive with?

Can you use your digital card before you get your IRL credit card?

Essentially what the question says. I just got my first small credit card and it hasn’t shipped yet, but I have all the information digitally on the app.

I’m considering using it today but don’t really know if I can? If I go to a store can I just give them my information for them to put in with my purchase? Or do I have to wait to literally have an irl card?

Is there anyway to make Mega Dragalge EX work?

I recently got into the game and I want to be able to win some games at a local event. I really love this card a lot and want to find a way to make it work.

The issue is that I don’t really know the meta well and what cards are staples. What cards work well with this and is it even good enough or should I try something more realistic?

What should I get into, SWU or Pokémon?

I posted something earlier on this subreddit about this but I wanted to have a more direct answer.

I’m currently debating what game I want to get into. I play commander but I really want to find a second 60 card competitive TCG to play and I’ve narrowed it down to SWU (Star Wars Unlimited) or Pokémon. Out of these options, what would you recommend someone get into over the other and why?

To add some context I’ll explain the pros and cons I have for both.

SWU genuinely has my favorite mechanics and play feel of any card game I’ve played. The flavor is perfect for me and the competitive scene is healthy and (mostly) cheap. But the game is simply put, small. The closest game shop that has consist events fire is 30 minutes away.

More importantly, I can’t help but be afraid of the game suddenly dying. A big reason I like TCGs is how it constantly is being updated, it’s honestly the main reason I love MTG. But SWU’s parent company is known for ending games really early, SW games are known for not lasting, and most importantly, the game is already seeming to lose popularity. Even outside of the big three card games, it seems to be lower tier.

My biggest turn off on the game is loving it, investing time and money into it, and then it just ends in like 5 years.

As for Pokémon, I mostly like the gameplay. It remind me a lot of Yugioh with the lines, fast pace, and combos. It’s REALLY cheap and it also avoids the issue of I have of eventually ending bc it’s literally the second biggest card game ever.

My only turn off is simply, I don’t like the look of the game that much. I’m not a huge fan of the IP itself, but I do love the gameplay.

Anyway these are the reasons I’m debating both games, knowing this, what game would u recommend?

(Also for context, I’ve played both on and off for a few months so no matter what I pick I’m not going in blind)

Update: A lot of you have correctly stated that it’s clear I like SWU more and might as well go that direction anyway and I agree. Thanks for the help!

How simple really is Pokémon?

I’m currently trying to get into a new TCG and I’m strongly considering Pokémon. I’ve played a few games with my GF and enjoyed it and my whole feed is competitive deck profiles and meta discussion. The game seems fun and up my alley.

But I’ve heard some troubling things about it from a competitive lens. That’s it’s very luck based and that it’s much, much more simple than other TCGs. I’ve played MTG and SWU and I loved both of them because of their rich, complex gameplay. Is Pokémon really so much simpler?

Do you guys think SWU is here to stay for the time being?

How long realistically do you think SWU will last? If at all?

I was watching a YouTube video earlier today that was talking about the longevity of new TCGs in the modern era. In the video, the guy argues that he thinks SWU will last at most five or so years.

No way personally I disagree and hope he’s wrong. I think the game and importantly its gameplay are so rich we can see it becoming one of the major TCGs.

What would you guys say? As a somewhat new player I would find it a bit disheartening to hear that people think this game won’t last long.

I was curious what people in SWU and out of it would say.

Is this game worth playing in 2026?

I’m currently trying to find a new game to play and I’ve been eyeing Pokémon for awhile. But I was wondering if this game is actually in a good spot currently?

Party a vague question, but is the game currently at a point where you could recommend to someone getting in? Is the meta diverse and healthy? Is the game affordable? That kinda thing

Thank you

Is there a Combo deck in this game?

Obviously having a outright combo deck in this game is gonna be a bit challenging because of how actions as a whole work, but as someone who wants to try and get into competitive SWU and who’s play style really likes combo I really would like playing the closest thing to a combo deck we have.

So my question is this, I’m current SWU, what is the closest deck we have to a combo deck?

New player wanting a rundown on the current game?

Hi guys,

So I’ve recently dived HEAVY into Star Wars Unlimited. I’ve bought both the Lawless spotlight decks and some packs. I’ve watch video after video of gameplay and spoilers season for Ashes. As a life long TCG player, SWU is easily my favorite.

But I’m finding it hard to where to go from here? I really want to actually play tournaments and competitive play but I simply don’t know enough about the current state of the game to.

Would you guys be willing to give me a rundown on everything I need to know about the current environment for Premier? Is it healthy? What decks are good and why? What’s the best leaders and best cards? What should I buy? Just a point for point explanation of what I should be paying attention to and know in order to play competitively?

Thanks!
