Just received my bastard board at the hotel

At least it’s not for a dubious cause, but I can’t help but think I have to spank myself with it if I want the second option.

Circus?

Didn’t the Beans already do the circus as a topic a few years back? Still excited to listen to this rehash but can’t help but feel a bit salty that my topic submission of childhood is still right there ripe for the picking…

A game-changer

Boots of Blinding Speed + Levitate ! Literally flying across the map as a Telvanni Breton battle mage in an enchanted cephalopod helm.

To think I spent my first playthrough as a kid literally walking the entire map and rationing my Icarian Flight scrolls…

Thing nobody asked for: Playing your music with no headphones

First off: amazing day, super smooth bag drop and organization on the bathrooms seemed way better than last year. Hats off to the BK Half organizers and volunteers.

My gripe: Playing your own music on a speaker while running is CRAZY work. I saw this three times today. It’s selfish and antisocial, two things that really have no place at a community event.

You can afford the registration fee but can’t afford a pair of headphones? Or is it just that you have no consideration for others? Everything happening on the sidelines is distracting enough. NYRR should consider making it some kind of misdemeanor. Annoying AF.

Ok I’m tired now.

I heard a song in the last episode of the new season of Beef on Netflix and it immediately reminded me of Death Stranding…

Turns out it’s “Nobody Loves Me Like You” by Low Roar. One of the tracks off of the album 0 not in the game but the vibe is unmistakable!

Bought Morrowind on the Xbox store recently after getting good feedback on how it runs. I played it on PC about a decade ago and it is just as atmospheric as I remember. While the gameplay is obviously outdated, I really don’t care. It fills me with joy that we can still play a piece of gaming history like this. It’s so interesting also to compare this to today’s games—there has been so much progress, but there’s something about Morrowind’s environment, music, and gameplay that makes it such a classic in my mind.

I spent about 2 hours in Seyda Neen. Now I’m doing the Mages Guild missions as a Breton Battlemage. I’m trying to limit the use of guides and just go with the flow. I never used magic, enchanting, or alchemy on my first playthrough so I’m exploring a piece of a 20+ year old game I never ventured into!
