repot or wait?

so my spider has some roots growing out of the bottom, but in general the pot isn’t very rootbound and there is still a lot of space for it to move around

does this warrant a repot? i’ve also noticed the growth slow down over the last month where it was growing quite quickly before (no change in water or fertiliser)

water propagating after being in soil for a bit?

hi all! this is my first pilea gifted to me by a friend. it was one of her pups, she had put it straight to soil in a little pot. it’s been in the soil pot for about a week and a half but it was drooping, kept falling over and eventually just fell completely out! when i looked properly i could see as in the picture there was only the one sad little root lol. so i thought maybe i would water propagate to fast grow some roots! ive put it in a little pot as per the last pic. but im both a first time pilea owner and pilea propagator so i wanted to know if there was anything im doing wrong, if there was a danger with it having been in soil for a little over a week, or if anyone had any more advice!

i know to change the water out every couple of days, and i’m pretty sure you’re only supposed to put the tip of the plant in to grow roots and not submerge the whole stem (please correct me if i’m wrong!) aside from that lol i’m pretty much a novice so i’d appreciate any help or guidance! thanks :)

thai con rescue help

popped to the garden centre today and saw this guy on the side… it was the very last one on the shelf and looking kinda rough, but i simply couldn’t leave it!

i’m pretty sure this is a thai con, correct me if im wrong. i’m gonna repot asap as i think the substrate is way too thick. the biggest leaf has quite a bit of mechanical damage but also is very droopy and curled inwards, im pretty sure this must be a watering issue but was wondering if anyone had any input/thoughts just by looking at it from these pictures!

gonna have to get a good look at the roots, im hopeful there’s no rot since it’s only really the one leaf that is struggling? but im not sure tbh. it has fenestrated on the biggest leaf so i can tell it was happy at SOME point in its life

this is also my first thai con (i have loads of deliciosas) so any tips for the difference in care would be appreciated!!!! thanks

what the hell is going on with my yucca

there’s a lot of dust on it so ignore that but i hope the leaf damage is visible enough

what is it?? thrips?? i have had preventative swirskii mites on the plant for the past month and a half ish (they’re the ones that only eat the eggs and not the adults, i can’t remember what they’re called apologies). growth has stunted over the past two months and its droopy, but has stayed pretty much the same (not got any better or worse) for about 6 weeks. i am inclined to believe it is thrips but wanted to know if anyone thought anything else? and if so what do i do? i’m in the uk if anyone wants to suggest any treatments

i’ve not found any bugs, larvae or black spots to indicate thrips or thrip poop, it’s literally just the leaf damage. There are also plants around this one that are completely fine so i’m truly at a loss rn

sits in a west facing window, 12+ hours of bright light a day. I water when a chopstick comes out clean or almost clean which usually is around 4-5 weeks. It’s in succulent soil mixed 5050 with perlite

rotting pothos leaf?

this new leaf on my marble queen appears to be rotting, is it because moisture got in? should i cut it off or let it unfurl?

u/unrichtea — 11 days ago

repotted this plant (and last watered) almost exactly a month ago. in the past 2 weeks or so it’s started curling and losing colour especially on the outer leaves. it sits on an east facing window and gets a lot of morning sun.

in a 5050 mix of succulent potting soil and perlite! this plant was originally in a pot that was absolutely huge for it. when i repotted it lost quite a lot of roots but still had a decent amount left (you can see some through the clear pot). Didn’t think i had any root rot (i didn’t smell any at the very least). Does it need water? has it been overwatered? i have never seen it do the leaf curling so i’m very worried

TIA

so i recently repotted my boyfriends snake plant (think it’s a hahnii??) he’s had it for years and it’s very sentimental to him. it hadn’t been repotted in 5 years and was in a pot SOOO much bigger than it, so he trusted me to repot it. i chose a pot that was a lot smaller, there are pics at the end of the roots in the pot. the original pot was multiple inches bigger and he kinda just sat at the top. basically it’s been almost a month since i did this and ive just noticed today that some of the outer leaves have ever so slightly yellowed/begun to yellow. the first pic is from today and the second is the plant when i first repotted

third and fourth pics are the leaves that are looking a bit sad to me. and at the end are the pics from when i repotted it, including the roots and the size of the pot. i potted it in a 5050 mix of cactus/succulent soil and perlite. watered it in and haven’t watered it since. it gets morning light from an east facing window

please help, i may be panicking a bit but i could never forgive myself if i’ve killed his beloved plant 💔
