Tips for breaking in leather gloves?

I recently bought these split cowhide leather gloves. I primarily bought these to work with theatrical halogen lights, so I can’t use my usual method of leather conditioner or mink oil. I also don’t have the time right now to use them constantly to break them in. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Does this exist?

Is there by chance a free SAT question bank out there that gives you your average time per question?

I’m using satquestionbank.org right now, which does tell me the time I take per question. I’d just prefer one that automatically gives me a constantly updating average. I don’t tend to struggle with time too much until halfway through module 2 of the math section, so I’ve been trying to get my average time per question down.

If it doesn’t exist, then I guess I’ll open a spreadsheet and calculate it myself.

Is this sleep paralysis?

NOTE: I’m not looking to self-diagnose or be diagnosed by someone online. I’m just curious right now and will pursue this with a mental health professional if I feel the need to.

For the longest time, I thought that sleep paralysis required some form of panic or hallucinations. I recently looked into sleep paralysis, as I have been experiencing something similar most days of my life, but without the panic or hallucinations. I realized that the key part of sleep paralysis is, well, the inability to move or speak before falling asleep or right before waking.

My personal experience so far hasn’t involved any hallucination, visual or auditory. I’m typically very relaxed, despite being completely frozen and aware of the fact. I often have dreams about just being in my bed, similar to sleep paralysis, but without being in that in-between state. I have also been able to lucid dream since I was about 8, which I suspect may be part of the reason that I am able to stay so calm. I typically just lie there and wait until I either fall asleep or get bored enough that I’ll focus really hard on being awake until I wake up. Also, as previously mentioned, this period of time where I’m frozen before sleep/right before I wake up has been pretty common most of my life, so I haven’t really thought twice about it until now

I also suspect that from the ages of 4 to 10, I did experience both visual and auditory hallucinations with this. I’m not completely sure that I did have them, as it has been a while since I was that age and am mostly relying on my mother’s memory of what I’d tell her.

I’m not seeking treatment right now, as this is not causing me any distress and I don’t necessarily feel exhausted every day, so it doesn’t affect my sleep much. I just wanted to know if anyone else thinks this might be sleep paralysis or if someone has had a similar experience.

My friend made me feel so valid through such a small detail

My friend is currently at camp and offered to make me a bracelet. I said sure, and they asked me if I wanted my name on it. I replied, “Idk, have fun with it.” Their reply made me feel so valid and seen, I just wanted to share it.

They said, “I’m not gonna put your name on it bc ik you’re genderfluid and idk if your name changes or if it will in the future and I want the bracelet to work with you.”

It‘s such a small detail, but it meant so much to me. I’m not out to everyone as genderflui, so I don’t often feel validated like this. I’ve also had friends in the past who either made me feel like I wasn’t valid, or who I had come out to and then was addressed exactly the same, no change in pronoun/title/name. It’s just amazing that someone who I’m not fully out to (as I haven’t told them my second name) and who doesn’t fully grasp what trigenderfluid is can show so much love and support.

I wanted to share this story for anyone out there who doesn’t feel seen by those around them. I want you to know that there are people out there who do see us, who do care. Don‘t give up on finding them. And don’t give up on those around you who are willing to learn and love you for who you are.

All my love and best wishes to everyone, <3.

Hypoallergenic makeup??

So I’ve been looking into hypoallergenic makeup, because most drugstore or beauty store makeup causes an allergic reaction. Depending on the product, it is typically a rash, itchy eyes, itchiness in the area it was applied, sneezing (especially if scented), and the occasional red and inflamed eyes. I was wondering if anyone would recommend using hypoallergenic makeup as a solution to this? I tried some products that claimed to be unscented/for sensitive skin/hypoallergenic a few years ago, but they didn’t work, they just mildly delayed or lessened the reaction. is there any true hypoallergenic makeup, or do I have to keep spending money on trying until I find the one that works for me?
